AMD Budget Build

I found a cheap processor which also comes with a built in graphics card with all that I will need for now:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-329-AM

I was just wondering what would be the best motherboard to go with if I want to be able to upgrade to top of the range processors in the future?

Also once I have my motherboard and processor which has graphics card built in are the only things left to get a PC case, RAM, harddrive, powersupply unit and optical drive? Apart from obviously HDMI monitor and keyboard, mouse etc...

I want to go for just 8gb of ram at the moment but like I said with the opportunity to upgrade to better stuff in the future.

So can anyone help finish my build?

Thanks in advance

unfortunately with the Trinity range of CPUs you can't upgrade from there as they are closed sockets, those chips use the fm2 socket and the other ranges of AMD cpus such as the Bull;doser and Piledrivers all use the am3+ sockets so you wouildn't be able to upgrade to a better cpu other than the A10

Do you have an overall budget, or do you want it cheap?

With the trinity chips, the motherboards are for FM2's where as the better chips without integrated graphics atm are AM3+ motherboards. Depending on your budget, I could spec you something up.

+1 if you have a budget we could spec you soemthing that would suit your needs

I was under the impression the A series processors where FM2 sockets such as the quad cores. I thought these was the best for gaming? Like I say I want it cheap to begin with but to be able to easily upgrade in the future? For some guides I want to be able to play Ghostbusters The Video Game maxed out and other games around that level of performance. Could you make some specs for 2 budgets? 1 under £350 (or just as cheap as possible that will be able to play Ghostbusters The Video Game and similar level games maxed out) and one under £500? Thanks guys

The A6 is a dual core.
And they're not the best for gaming as far as CPU's go, the dual core ; Not by a long shot.
They're the best IGP solution though.

Slightly over but would be future proof for a good 2-3 years and also would play nearly everything on ultra (i have a 7850 and a 3770k and i can play evgerything on ultra with good fps 40+ usually 60 minimum at 1080p)

amd equivalent

again slightly over but would probably allow you to max out graphics settings

What Lep specc'd really. The FM2 way of things will always be IGP so won't be the best for performance when you want to play game, a CPU and dedicated GPU will be more powerful, and with a little extra you can get a nice solid system that will handle very high settings, where as a A10-5800k will sit around the Medium/High at 50+ fps.

If your really stumped for cash, then IGP will be okay, but if you can stretch, 3570k & a 7850 will do you nicely.

I have decided to spend more and get a better system so looking around £500 mark. Thanks everyone for your help. Just wondering are Intel and AMD that different is one better? Also is it the motherboards that allow for future upgrades and makes it easier?

the intel ones are better in gaming, are smaller chips and use less power whereas the amds are a larger chip use more power and the cores inside aren't as good core for core versus an intel core, but multitasking the amd 8320 wins against the i5 as it has 8 rather than 4

That would do you nicely. If you want to pay a little more for the i5K it can be overclocked for even more performance but that's nearer £600 all in and from the sounds of it you still need a monitor. The i3 isn't bad you can always upgrade it once i5Ks are going 2nd hand reasonably cheap down the road.

Thanks for help. Was just wondering if you think I would be best of buying a ready built system seen as though I need a monitor and all the other stuff and then just upgrade it as and when?
