You going to the blue hole?

Not sure, maybe. Missus is already an advanced PADI, I'm going to do my advanced while I'm there then have 3 additional days diving, we both REALLY want to visit the Thistlegorm but the places only do it on groups of 10 or so, but fingers crossed we can do it :)

When you get out there you will be able to book it with most of the dive schools, there is plenty of people wanting to do it.

Well worth doing, some great sights but not one if your scared of the dark/lionfish ;)

Its not that, the other half is friends with one of the more popular dive schools out there so we are getting everything at mates rates (advanced is only costing me £150) so if we can stick with them that'll be pretty cool. Bring on the dive/darkness - been wanting to to get back into diving for a long time so this is my 'target' for the trip along with getting dive time up and looking to go to the Maldives in November for 10 days of it :)

I did three dives on the Thistlegorm last November and it was amazing, especially at night. The Abu Nuhas wrecks are also really good.

Thanks for the recommendation, at night must've been amazing! :D

How much did the Thistlegorm dives cost you?

I think we'd already payed for a weeks diving and it was 80 euros on top of that to go from El Gouna to the Thistlegorm, but it was well worth it. We went out and dived the Carnatic which was on the way. When we got the Thistlegorm we did a dive, and then another just after the sun went down. We stayed on the boat overnight as it was an old live-aboard and then did an early morning penetration dive and got to see all the motorbikes, guns and other vehicles. Then on the way back we did a dive on the Chrisoula K (the tile ship) and then a reef dive on the other side of Abu Nuhas. We also dived the Giannis D a few days earlier.

This is the Carnatic which was a really nice wreck.

You've got to dive the Thistlegorm though if you go, it's amazing and there's a lot of stuff to see on it.:D

You're trying to take the **** and say he's a little kid for having a bangle and yet you come out with stuff like this. You sound like my 12 year old brother on Facebookz.

Wow that dive looks amazing. Is there anywhere down here that something similar can be done? (Exploring a sunken shipwreck etc).
