Because clearly everyone needs X-2 in HD so they can admire the gorgeous... background scenery *cough*

That said, I've been meaning to replay through X and actually complete X-2 because I'm someone of a completionist. Depends how much the game goes for though, I remember spending so many hours on the blitzball games in X, that was almost as much fun as the actual game itself! Shame that got ruined in X-2 as well.
Maybe I'll just buy it and snap the disc in half and just play the X half.

How about you? Up for rebuying another old game? I was going to make a comment about it not even being that old, but checked the date and it actually came out 12 years ago, which means I now feel really old.

Tempted to get X as I've never played it before. The dodgy as hell voice acting and lack of world map really put me off buying it. Looked a bit too linear though I'd love to be proven wrong!

X-2? Well, the less said about that the better :p.

Never played, seems ideal for Vita. Glad that they're being sold separately on Vita, as I have zero interest in X-2 and it should make X a little cheaper.

YES AWESOME!!!!
2013 kinda vague, looking forward to it.

When have Square Enix ever been straight forward with anything :D

Seriously looking forward to this though. Would prefer it on my Vita if I'm honest. But if there is a cross buy (which from what I have read they are not :( ) I would get both. Otherwise will be a Vita purchase for me... and most likely only X lol.

I know it's pointless to hold my breath, but I so seriously hope this gets cross-saving. As others have said, it'd be ideal on the Vita (due to travel, work, etc.) but holy hell it'd be awesome if you could continue the saves from your Vita on the PS3 and vice versa like with MGS HD and such.

If you haven't played X, I'm guessing you also haven't played X-2 either?

You'll notice that the people who talk the most smack about X-2 are the ones who didn't play it.

For people who did play it, whilst it's not as good as X, it's still a good game in its own regard.

Lemme guess, FF7 is the best FF (and only FF you've played) ever, right?

X-2 wasn't a bad game at all. It was just no where near as good as X (imo). That said might be biased because X had Blitzball and well I prob spent more time playing Blitzball in X than I did playing X-2 lol (I was seriously addicted to Blitzball)

I thought they pulled the X HD remakes for more XIII bull ****?

The X remake was meant to have different voice actors as well.

Looks like they've got it in track. Will buy ASAP

This is one FF game which I enjoyed the most. The characters stories were amazing and Auron felt heavy weight in the game.

I played this game 11 years ago and it brings back nice memories :(

I loved FFX - although I admit, by doing this they are being a massive **** tease by not doing FF7 :D

FFX, ya know, had the most, ya know, annoying cast of, ya know, all the Final Fantasy games, ya know?

I think it was the, ya know, the dialogue.

(Seriously, count the number of times they say "ya know". It's almost every single line!)

Hi-5, fellow addict!

I'm torn over X-2. Mechanically it has my favourite class system in any FF game, as it copies over the one used back in FF V where any character can be any class, you can chose to specialise or make them jacks of all trades. Give them a primary and secondary class, just do so much. But then the game added so much fanservice on top of it that I kinda felt dirty making use of the system to swap classes mid-fight.

I don't need to play something to think that it's **** ;).

And no, FF7 isn't the best FF, 9 is, with 4, 6, 7 and 8 being fairly equal albeit for different reasons.

I've also played every main series FF up to IX and various spin offs including Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus, Tactics, Mystic Quest and Legend (although this is actually a SaGa game). Not to mention the numerous releases of 3, 4 and 6 I've played.

:)

Good. FF9 is the best.

But seriously, I don't think you can give an honest opinion of X-2 without playing it.

I thought the lack of a world map on X was weird, and I played a huge portion of it wondering when the world map would be available, but in the end it wasn't really a big issue.

But as for X-2 again, seriously it's a decent game if you take it on its own merit.

Look at the way people slate other FF games because they're not 7.

2 of my absolute favorites, but I can't for the life of me see much of a difference.

Far better to throw some coal into the PS2 and enjoy the game with everything unlocked...

I rebought FF9 for the Vita. Superb game.

Looking forward to the remakes of X and X-2.
