Stuart Hall Arrested

I don't want to name any names, but there are very strong rumours that another arrest will be made regarding this case that will shock a lot of people (even more so) :(.

^^ Just can't see what evidence there would be other than "she said, he said"?

I think the police/cps were able to state that when complaints started coming in about him, they all appeared to be perfectly identical in timescale, and process, and the way he proceeded with his paedophilia.
So much so that the he said she said suddenly became a case of they all said, he said.
So he stopped saying, now one wonders if he is truly sorry, or if he hopes to get off lightly by saying he is sorry, and knows he did wrong, and all his associated statements.
It might be that he is disgusted with himself, said guilty to make it end, and make the people who made statements not have to go through a trial. I rather hope it is the latter, but not that it will matter now.

Would have been interesting what would have happened if he didn't admit it.

i.e. what they actually had on him.

What the next guy says:

Look up "Moorov Doctrine"

If 2 or more crimes are perpetrated in a very similar way and the accused can be identified in each instance, the individual acts can be used as corroboration of each act.

The more victims there are = the stronger the case against the accused.

Edit: I googled it or you:

The Moorov doctrine is a mechanism which applies where a person is accused of two or more separate offences, connected in time and circumstances. In such a case, where each of the offences charged is spoken to by a single credible witness, that evidence may corroborate, and be corroborated by, the other single witnesses, so as to enable the conviction of the accused on all the charges. In order for the doctrine to operate, each of the offences must be competently charged.

Although this is Scots Law, it applies elsewhere. It is used more in Scots Law as the element of corroboration is required for a successful conviction in Scotland.

Assuming I'm correct about the person you mean, I would be pretty gutted as he's a magnificent actor. :( :( :(

Depressing. Seems to have been a complete culture back then of people in showbiz kiddie fiddling with impunity :(
Who's next...
