Great cars, the BEST beer, great music (kraftwerk), friendly people, good food, attractive women. I don't know why Germans get such a bad wrap? Germans are probably my favourite race, that's why I like America so much because contrary to British propaganda it was largely founded by GERMANS. It's the most under-rated country IMO, whereas England is the most over-rated.

Maybe it comes down to jealousy, that we all can't be Germans?

I've gotta be honest, Germany's pretty great.

Currywurst mit pommes frites and Beer for lunch? Oh hells yes!

I know Spanish, French and British landed and started colonies in the US, but ive never heard of the US being largely founded by Germans. Have you a source for this? Not having a go im genuinely interested as it goes against most of what I already thought I knew.

Edit - Whoop found it myself, Germantown Philadelphia and the 6million 48ers. The more you know!

Germany is great. My dad worked there for a few years and loved it.

The food would be the only complaint for me. Well, from what I have been told anyway. Not actually been yet, but plan to at some point.

All the things you mentioned are pretty weak (apart from the beer and cars).

Their food sucks big time. The women aren't exactly known across the globe as beautiful (such as Italians or Romanians for example). I wouldn't say their music is even close to American or British... In fact there's nothing really that amazing about the place, other than it has some stunning countryside, but so do loads of other places. Just my take...

Lived in Germany (RAF Wildenwrath, RAF Bruggen and RAF Laarbruch) for 4 years and loved it. Most Germans speak excellent English, in fact better than a lot of English people.

I've heard a lot more about German women than Italian and Romanian combined tbh! Can't speak for much of their music, but Rammstein are certainly their biggest success!

Germans can be cold/hard to talk to too, especially if you don't speak the language. A lot of people can speak English, but many can't too - it depends on many factors. The food isn't that great actually. The girls are much prettier than English girls and the beer sure is much better :p.
