Got my xPro Dock today - works like a charm with the S4, plug it in and it goes into dock mode. Will post a review once I have a car for it to go in

Is there a decent flip cover I can just pick up in a phone shop later today for a reasonable amount that anyone is aware of? Or a cheapo version of the S-View?
Just installed a MediaDevil screen protector... miles better than the cheap crappy ones! Looks better and so much easier to apply. Goes right to the edges too and around the ear piece etc, unlike my cheap ones. Very nice

Anyone dumped their view case?
I just couldn't get on with mine as it got in the way of holding the phone when trying to take a picture
Dumped my flip case yea, was annoying! Using some cheapo plastic/rubber one until a nice ones arrive!
Not in anyway dissing your decision but I just let my flap flop down as I take pics admittedly my Nilkin clips over my N4 so it might be different with the back replacing S4 view, if in portrait it just goes to the side giving no bother.
To be honest it's no problem when taking pics, just hold it top to the left and the flap is down and doesn't get in the way. The issue is when holding the phone generally and for texting etc. The phone is too big to have an additional flap like that getting in the way. Even when folded back it doesn't feel good in the hand. It's not bad, just somewhat annoying at times!
Liking my cheapo skin case at the moment. As said above the MediaDevil screen protector is great, but doesn't have get dirty quick!

I'm not convinced the flap will protect the screen from a drop - the screen usually gets damaged when the phone lands on a corner, which is unprotected with the flip cases. You're better off with a skin/bumper case and screen protector imo.
I've dropped and skittered across the ground at least 10 times since Dec with my n4, the flap has protected the screen on at least 5 of those occasions, on concrete car park floors, tiled kitchen and gravelly pavements, not to mention countless sofa to carpet floor falls, that's why I have a flip case.
@Nexus. It's all in the mind and my mind is borked, I've never actually dropped my phone from my hand, unless you count the time I missed my pocket, I've knocked it of desks, kitchen surfaces and tables but the real killer is standing up while the phone is on my lap it shoots off at high speed and hits the deck with force, on the bright side I seem to have stopped shaking it out of hoody pockets into the toilet bowl while shaking off after a ****.

I can't recall of the last time that I actually dropped a phone while holding it either, main causes for me are similar to yours i.e. my one S fell out of my pocket when bending over to adjust a car seat, landed straight onto concrete, thankfully it came out pretty well, only a few marks around the metal body and screen is still in perfect condition and then with my spica, trying new shoes on and stupidly went to lift my leg up and once again, phone falls out of my pocket and lands on nice hard flooring, thankfully phone came out just fine then as well, plastic back came flying of though

Lol I see the censor agrees with you!
A new prob I've noticed is as I push shopping trolleys around the handle is right on my phone in the pocket as I reach to grab stuff or boredly lift myself off the ground and wheel about in the store, it hasn't caused a break but it's one to watch.
think i'm going for a bumper type thing now, only had it since Saturday and i've dropped it once so far at work and theres a little dent in the metal on the top right corner
seems the Metal is really soft, would have expected a scratch or something but not a dent like the metals crumpled in a bit

I ordered a supposed to be genuine S view flip cover case off the bay, it arrived today, came in a Samsung branded box and the cover has Samsung branding, but the viewable window is just a hole, no clear plastic.
The back is black and not the same colour as the original back, the plastic back of the flip cover also has some imperfections.
IMO it's a fake but was advertised as genuine, what should I do ? report the seller ?
