I won't paste the whole article, but this is interesting...

"He demanded to know why the UK authorities had not taken action earlier and said he would ask questions of the British regulator in Parliament.
"Why have we had to wait for Brussels to find out if British oil giants are ripping off British consumers?" he said."

I think we all know the answer to that question, some people in the government are in on it ;)

Nothing will change, yes Brussels will through the book at them but our regulators OF..... are the lakeys of whoever is in power and therefore will never find anything wrong with our suppliers of - Gas, Water, Electricity, Petrol, Diesel etc

So they will get fined X million pound whilst we continue to be butt ****ed at the pumps anyway.

:/

Actually, the price at the pump will go up to cover the fines they get so they don't lose their profit margin.

No wonder the Tories want out of the EU. These sort of investigations get in the way of wealth creation for the few.

Price fixing is bad, but on a more general note, our petrol prices compared to the rest of Europe are pretty average. Our diesel costs however are towards the top end.

The chance that this will make any difference to the price paid at the pump is zero :(

Our prices are no more or less fixed than the rest of Europe.

Would love to do without a car but the inconvenience/lack and cost of public transport means its just not an option.
