Syrian Rebel 'Cuts Out Soldier's Heart'

So the Syrian government uses chemical weapons against its own people and the West hardly bats an eye-lid, yet this video causes outrage and cries of "war crime"?

there has been no evidence produced to support your claim that Syria used chemical weapons.

I think its more that, at the time there was no actual proof of the chemical weapons thing (and as far as i know theres still nothing defnitive) and this dude uploaded his epic meal time on youtube.

I also dont know what you were watching at the time but people most definitely did bat an eyelid..I saw talk of invasion due to the use of chemical weapons all over the internet back then.

well, this is a war - what exactly do people expect to happen when people are fighting for their lives?? some sort of code of chivalry??

LOL at the West supporting these *******s. Was only 10 years ago we were declaring such people terrorists.

Assad may not be the best fellow around, but I would rather him than clearly vested interests seeking to depose of him by supporting such scum.

For a case reference of how this turns out, have a look at Libya.

They are fighting for vague territorial, political, religious rights, not for their lives. In fact they started it.

It's only srs business if oil is involved.

Waste not want not as my gran always used to say.

In all seriousness - how is this surprising? Soldiers being nasty in a dirty civil war in a failed state. Far worse happens in the African civil wars.

We also don't get involved in the countless civil wars that happen in Africa. Why should we get involved in this one?

To be honest, I think it's an odd society which thinks the fact the person was mutilated AFTER they were killed is worse than the fact a human being was killed.

Also, why we are supporting terrorists again?..., like we did in Libya, like we did in Afghanistan.... this record is getting old...

There are no good options. Once again it shows what a useless joke the UN is. If the Security Council functioned as it should, there would be a large international peace-keeping force to keep both sides in check and secure any chemical weapons - while Assad and the rebel leaders are forced to sit down and come to some sort of deal. But as usual, US/UK picks one side and Russia/China picks the other....vetoes are used.....resources are protected.....innocent people are blown to pieces while the UNSC essentially plays Risk.

Apart from the fact Israel, France, UK, and US governments claiming they have good intelligence that chemical weapons have been used in Syria with many claiming they have soil samples testing positive for the banned nerve agent Sarin!
