Google I/O 2013

Yup, huge benefit to people that want PA, CM 10 etc. running on their GS 4.

As much as I like stock especially compared to touchwiz, you loose the good stuff of touchwiz though :(

Good news about the Google Music All Access service :) 9.99$ sounds like a decent price too :) Hope by "soon" he doesn't means months or years away :p

I wonder if all those air features and such will be possible now?

Probably not unless google have specifically implemented the required software/drivers as well.

But all the smart stuff, multi view etc. won't be on it.

Ah, well either way this is great news for AOSP developers, maybe they'll get that camera working perfectly now, as well as other known bugs :p

When you watch this you realise how big Google are, the pic and video stuff going on now is so impressive,
They develop this in chrome and it naturally cascades down to the tablets and phones saving data, battery, resources

Apple just cant match this on a device wide level

Luckily the UK always tends to get new google services second, so we should be next in line.

That's good news :) Was hoping for a slightly more concrete date though :p Hopefully we'll hear something over the next few days :)

Pure Android S4? Good lord that's sweet.

What is so much better about a phone using a google OS? Is it much faster? /androidnewb :p

I agree - let's hope Google don't go power mad and start charging for services, though I'm sure they're smarter than that.

You might not think it's much better, but the main two things are:

  • You'll get future software updates quickly and reliably
  • The way it works is as Google intended and it looks rather smart (but you might not think so though and you do lose Samsung's custom tweaks)

All in all, pretty damn sweet. I might have to get one now.

:(
