I entirely agree with this statement. Over TOTY few days I spent over £60 on packs.. Oops..
Although I did get a Xabi Alonso....Shock Horror, just a gold card, not a TOTY. That was an absolute ****take.

I hate how EA retweet pictures of people getting two TOTS's in one pack; it's just aggravating, yet they never retweet anything from me saying that their servers are **** and they're all a bunch of *****. Go figure :mad:

I actually like the re-tweeted pictures of people getting luck in packs. As long as people are getting joy from pack openings, it gives me hope. I am happy for them.

There's a reason why spending money is silly - EA wouldn't make anything on packs if people could "break even" on selling them (ie buy 100k worth of packs, get 100k worth of players). It all comes down to luck and the odds aren't going to be stacked in your favour. You might get a TOTS player, but realistically you're better off saving your coins and trading your way up to have enough to buy one.

Incidentally, I pulled my first ever IF from a pack in this year's UT (having played since 2009!) - SIF Di Natale, which sold for 800k, so I'm somewhat on EA's side here

To be fair, I've raged when that sort of goal has happened to me. Even worse is the one where your keeper tries to throw the ball out, but gets his arm tangled up with another player and drops the ball at a striker's feet. Grr.

I sold TOTS RvP for 1050000 which meant I near as damn it got my money back, must say I was impressed but I'll wait for his price to become more reasonable before I buy again. He sold BIN for that price, maybe I would have got more for him. TOTS crosses - in the words of Ray Wilkins - "My Word"

Anyone else find packs are better at the start of the game? I remember getting loads of top rated players during the early weeks of the game coming out, now, a squad fitness card makes me happy.

Nope, I got naff all at the start, getting far better now. The best I'd drawn until a couple of months ago was David Luiz.

Shame really, cards are worth so much more at the beginning

I've found Fifa 13 to be terrible for packs. I'm not sure i'll bother with UT in Fifa 14.
