Evening all,

Some of you may have seen my other thread asking about what car to get next with everyone saying E46 330Ci. After viewing a few, I found a good one yesterday morning that I was happy with, so i bought it :D

And in its natural habitat :p

Spent a lot of today cleaning it up and giving it a wax over, will be getting a machine polisher soon to give it all a proper going over, the wheels are also in need of a refurb but nothing urgent.

The details:

E46 330Ci
82,000 miles
FBMWSH
Leather
Nav
Bluetooth (that's being a bugger about working with my S4)
No bloody cupholders!!!!

All mine for the bargain price of £4,900

Love it so far, the power has proved excellent for joining motorways and overtaking, and as the first auto I've driven I doubt I'll be going back to a manual any time soon.

Fuel economy isn't proving too bad, had to bring it back home through central London, reset the trip computer before leaving and somehow managed 24 MPG with a mix of town driving and a short motorway journey.

Still waiting to get pulled over, as a 19 year old driving a BMW isn't exactly normal around here :p

Definitely looking forward to the southern meet now!

I've seen plenty of apparent 19year olds driving e46 BMW's in & around Bexley, not as nice an example as that one though!

Nice car, enjoy the pull! ;)

Damn you for going for Silver Grey Metallic!! ;) Looks like a really tidy motor dude, glad you found one you're happy with..looks like a good price as well.

Shame you didn't find one with heated seats, the leather can get mighty cold in the winter (had to find some way of knocking it lol).

How much you paying insurance-wise if you don't mind me asking?

It took a while but finally you found one :) Looking forward to the next meet in Bexley!

Unless your driveway is half a mile long then the seats warm up from your body fairly quickly anyway :p I don't have heated seats but have never thought "wish I had heated seats" - Although I know that once I do have them I imagine it will be used quite a bit just because they're there.

It's woefully painful to see these becoming affordable for the McDonalds car park enthusiasts that don't really appreciate the beauty of these cars? Not saying that is the case with the OP, but we had the displeasure of going to McDonalds the other day and there were 3 of these lined up 330ci, 318ci and an E36 318i. Both of the E46s looked a complete wreck which was so sad to see :(

OP, excellent example, please don't chav it up! ;)

Looks great

Oh and r.e heated seats I hate them, makes me feel like I've soiled myself!

Haha funnily enough my mum says exactly the same thing.

I love them because they do a great job of sending my missus to sleep; perfect on a long journey..whack seats on, she falls asleep, I get peace and quiet and start cruising at a higher speed without getting whinged at :)

They're definitely one of those "once you've had them you wonder how went without them" kind of things though.

Disagree - had them on my Mondeo Ghia X. Don't have them on my 530i. Don't miss them at all and wouldn't especially be bothered if they are on the next car.

Ive heard a few people say it helped with back pain. My OH says that it really helped with she had a bad stomach *shrug*

We used ours in the first winter we had the car as it made the cold leather more bearable, however i had to take out the fuse in an emergency (cig lighter fuse popped and i needed the sat nav to work) which was more than two years ago, it hasnt been replaced yet, just dont use it

I had heated seats on my old Focus and never used them. For me it's a pointless option. A heated steering wheel though - much more useful :)
