Was more of a revolution for consoles than anything else, much like Golden Eye was for N64. It had exceptional A.I for the time.

That said, it was pretty dull. Every place looked the same too.

Me too.

Mates would be all over Halo on the first xbox like it was the most amazing game ever, setting up xbox consoles with RJ45 cables to play in living rooms and bedrooms eating pizza etc..

I thought the game was boring as hell and never caught on with me. None of the Halo games have to be honest..

You mean other than its specifically designed for mobile devices and programmed for a mobile os and thus wouldn't run on other OS. Why would you port a mobile game to win7 for example?
If you mean to other platforms, exclusive titles are common.

It can run on regular Windows 8 then it can run on Windows 7.

Reminds me of when Halo 2 was released exclusively for Vista. Didn't stay exclusive to that OS for very long!

No, win7 doesn't have the store, touch features or any of the other underlying os it needs to run. It is a metro app, that is designed to run on win8 and WP8.
It would require substantial porting to work on win7 and then you have to ask why would you port a mobile game to a non mobile os.

It's optimised for touch but it doesn't require it and it could easily be distributed standalone. People run Windows 8 on desktops and laptops without touch screen and which can be running any hardware so what am missing that makes it require Windows 8?

It does require it, it is programmed for metro.

Programmed for Metro, what exactly does Metro do that it needs. I'm genuinely asking by the way not having a go.
