+1.Unfortunately self control isn't simple for some and while calories spent vs calories eaten may sound simple as well, it just isn't. Metabolism, health (physical and psychological) and lifestyle all play a part in making it difficult.
It's also fat people need to lose, not weight and losing that fat without muscle as well.
I feel as though many here haven't been in an overweight/obese situation and don't actually understand the difficulties for some.
Regardless of which, there are much better ways than the "solution" in the OP, that's just terrible.
+1.
Thank you, some reason.
Sounds like fat person talk to me, weight loss is easy, people are just too lazy and unwilling to make the effort required and why they're fat in the first place. The worst ones blame it on everything else including fluid retention, genetics, big boned, thyroid etc

I am literally shocked by the rudeness and arrogance.
Some people just like to eat whatever they like and don't care about the consequences.
No different than people that do extreme sports and don't care about the consequences.

I'm not.I am literally shocked by the rudeness and arrogance.
Exactly my point. Not really; it's "bigger picture" talk.
You do indeed get the losers lying around becrying their big bones and faulty thyroids, but what he's trying to say is that it isn't as easy as simply telling someone the "wisdom" of mathematics that is "calories in < calories out".
There are many, many sociological and behavioural factors behind why people end up trapped in a fat spiral and breaking that is a mammoth battle compared to the relatively simple dietary side of things. That's all -- no excuses being made, just home truths for quite a few people out there.
If it was so easy to manage your weight we wouldn't have the much-publicised epidemic on our hands. Repeating the old calories mantra is just covering your eyes to much of the problem and going "Bla bla bla, I'm not listening to youuuuuuu."
Yes.I am saying it plays no part in fat people being unable to control their diet, like many millions of non-obese humans seem to manage perfectly well.
Yes, it is. As long as you keep within your Total Daily Energy Expenditure. It wouldn't be very good for you though.
It is that simple.
Extreme cheeseburger eating?![]()
