Basically what the titles says, what would be the best choice, I have heard not 100% sure though that there is a significant increase when running two 770s over one 780, I am thinking about buying two of these

Which would cost £850 including VAT and delivery, or would you recommend one 780, I would get this one at £600

Would the performance from two 770s be worth the extra £250 over the one 780? oh and a TITAN is out of the question not paying over a grand :D

If you have a case that has a good PSU and ample room for cooling and you don't mind a little extra noise, I would go for the 770's in SLI.

Corsair 900D getting delivered today should be big enough haha and my PSU is an AX1200 so should be covered there as well, I'll take your advice was leaning towards the 770s in SLI just needed that extra confirmation, thanks mate :D

The AX1200 is overkill, you'll be all good:) My AX850 watt is more then enough for 770 SLI

Apart from in titles that aren't yet supported in which case it will be significantly slower than a 780.

Yes also that thank you for pointing it out. I was gonna include it but thought it was irrelevant since almost all modern games supports SLI and even if old games didn't a single 770 would be more than enough xD

If it was me, I would grab a GTX 690.

Faster than a GTX 780 and better at running sli than two separate GTX 770s.

But to SLI two 690s would cost a bomb? I guess you're saying one 690 is better than two 770s?

Yeah he's saying one 690 is better. They are effectively 2 680 cores on one pcb. Guru3d have reviews of all the combinations you have mentioned. Might be worth a read. :)

At this res, a single 770 would be plenty.

So unless you are planning on getting a 1440p or 1600p monitor, I'd save my cash and just get a single 770.

I will be running 3 monitors but only gaming on the middle one, as I use the other two for movies and music, web browsing and other stuff, would this make a difference?

OP has a 120hz monitor so we're looking at 120fps as a requirement for this resolution. Its probably better to go SLI if they're high demanding games.
