There have also been other complications in the past couple of days (family member and sudden bad news), so it's not looking hopeful.

Minor issue with the air mass sensor connection. Disaster averted. Still looking good for Saturday, though as mentioned, I can't give it any real beans. Fingers crossed...

There's just no way to tell and if it gets very cold/rains the car is just going to be utterly hateful.
