On my mobo I have 3 PCI-e slots. I have my two 770's in the first 2 pci-e slots. I cant fit my sound card because the lightnings are so big. I want to know can I SLI in slots 1 and 3 without losing speed? This way I can put my sound card in the middle instead.

the way you currently have it it is running at x8 / x8 (which is the same as PCIe 2.0 x16 / x16)

if you want to switch to 1 & 3 you will be at x8 / x4 (equiv to 2.0 x16 / x8 )

so yeah, you will be losing a bit of raw bandwidth, but it might not have very much impact in actual gaming

I did get it installed, but when I do nvidia control panel doesn't work and also the display goes to 800x400? I take the sound card out and everything works again? I don't understand?

Does anyone know why when I install my sound card the nvidia control panel doesn't work and my screen goes to 800x400? Also my second display disappears? If I take out sound card all is well again. It's weird?

Sounds like some kinda of hardware resource conflict, may be the motherboard can't handle it, needs a firmware update or one of the GPUs is slightly loose in the socket or something.

I check both gpu's. Their in. Bios is up to the latest. don't know really?

Edit: Not to worry....I'll just use the on-board sound. It's not bad on my high end mobo.

I'll just return the sound card I bought and get something else.
