"‘Get the bacon sarnies out’ remark cost Heywood IT contractor dream job "

If it's a true story (or we have the whole story), that recruiter is in the wrong. You can't take offense to someone making an off the cuff remark about a commonplace UK breakfast item regardless of what you may like or may not like for breakfast (religion or no religion involved). Barmy!

Read this a few moments ago and got really wound up. Well this is Muslims for you, seriously watch a Pat Condell video on YouTube as he can explain this all better than i can.

I'm not convinced he didn't know what he was doing and rather having a sly dig at the Asian lady, seems strange he had to be so specific and the fact his now gone running to the press is a tad suspicious !!

Also it's poor reporting, he didn't lose the offer for making that comment and from what I can gather it seems most likely that he lost the offer after further offending and refusing to apologize and ultimately telling her to 'sod off'
Not really the most civilized and intelligent way to respond to someone that has just informed you that they have been offended irrespective if it was deliberate or not!! Certainly not the sort of person I'd want working for me that's for certain.

Indeed, his a bigot with a few brain-cells which is quite a rarity:rolleyes:
And no this isn't 'Muslims for you' Just another bigoted article lose on information and evidence yet rife with assumptions and bigotry !

Well if reed or whoever called me up and said look mate you should say sorry or whatever then i'd be telling them to shut it. It's just another case of Muslim pandering.

While she was obviously way too sensitive, i do wonder how much of him losing the contract was actually down to his conversation with the manager during which he made 'further inappropriate comments'.

Of course you would as you're an uncivilized bigot who has already made his mind up about EVERY Muslim in the U.K

Should have just apologised and/or kept away from the press.

Lots of employers will now reject him after googling his name.

It's political correctness gone mad!!!!

I'm so angry right now!!

You can't even call black people ******* anymore either....

They should be forced to speak English and eat bacon as soon as they arrive in the country. Never would have happened 50 years ago....

All of it I suspect, it was nothing that a quick "yup, sorry about that, i didn't think & meant no offence" wouldn't have solved, going off on one & telling them to sod off is not the way to land yourself a grand a week job.
