Im beginning to think iv been playing the wrong role all this time (jungle/support), as everytime I go top I completely dominate the lane (no matter who its against) with GP, I am just so focussed in the lane , ward properly, can stick my ulti down when team in trouble and can outfarm them so much and one good gank and im set for the rest of the game.

Why do people refuse to commit in teamfights!? So many times the tank has initiated and the rest of the team just runs off scared, so infuriating playing a game for 30-40 minutes only for people to be scared of risking a death count.

The problem I have with GP is that he has no sustain in early fights but you have to be farmed well in lane otherwise you lose the ability for him to snowball into other lanes.

Been playing a lot of vayne AD but might give jungling a try this week with j4 being on free rotation.

Aatrox is alright but not as OP as some champs on release like Darius was. He will be refined in the next patch if the whingers get their way.

His sustain is ridiculous, I find building him like a bruiser doesn't work though. He's sort of like Tryndamere.

Split push all-day :D

Depends on the time of day, there isn't usually many on in the day but there is normally a fair few at night, normally 1-2 groups already established and usually a few playing together that probably could use an extra person.

The server is registered for up to 50 concurrent users and we have anything up to 25 people on so more welcome and the more that ensure we don't end up with randoms the better. :)

also do use the ocuk channel in game, it's under used and people need to talk more in it :)

Riot has revealed some of the upcoming Master Yi changes, what do you all think?
For those who didn't see :
"AP won't be a prominent build" (ie: you won't build AP)

Yi will have to be built glass cannon to survive

Yi will be played stratigically with alpha strike disengage (eh?) and meditate (reworked to a new ability) allowing you to survive in combat without defensive items

Yi will play more like the current Ap Yi, rather then the current AD build however you will have to auto attack AND use skills to be effective.

Thoughts?

Man I had such a terrible round on Fiddlesticks. Only played him a couple of times and this was by far the worst. I was trying to play a more supportive role on him so getting a Sightstone early on before building some AP and short of trying to stack Dorans Blades I couldn't have done more wrong. Kept pressing W instead of Q so I'd try to drain targets instead of fearing them which got me killed several times on top of engaging very stupidly (like not only using the wrong skill on Darius but being on such low health he dunked me in 1 hit ><).

Next 2 rounds, went back on Annie as solo mid. Dominated both games. I just don't know whether its worth the effort really getting good at her. She does have awesome burst damage and that stun is so powerful in the right situation but she doesn't seem very popular in ranked since I imagine she isn't that powerful in late game team fights.

Unless you are playing fiddlesticks as a support, which I wouldn't do then you shouldn't build him supportive, that's for support and we struggle with our role as it is :-)

You know what i'm loving? The reduced price in dorans ring, the fact you can maintain your mana using it and getting 2 health poths is awesome, people don't realise how powerful you are with a dorans ring start and get over confident then they die :)

Was playing Fizz vs Kassadin, and i went the sp4zie build (full offence tree) with a dorans ring start, i purposely let him get me down to 1/4 life whilst i farmed and hit two before him so he got over confident and all in me, not realising i had barrier then i just killed him haha

Also as i said i was trying Ahri again yesterday, i'm 100% certain she's awesome, she used to be good when i first played, hadn't played her in months and now im dominating with her.

Almost LvL 28. :)
Played Jax for most of the games. I am pretty good with him now.

I suggest ya look up the song "I Just Played Jax" on Youtube (I think that's the name of it?) :p

I really need to start getting on mumble I think to try and get in some team games. Haven't played any proper games in a while now due to the fact that soloQQ is such a gamble and no one I know really plays LoL anymore.

Well that was the plan. I just messed it up constantly. We could probably have won if it wasn't for the fact our Morgana had decided he couldn't be bothered anymore and our Aatrox had built so badly he was squishy as hell.

Does it really make that much difference? With Annie I've been starting out with 2 Faerie Charms and 3 health pots. Given that I'm only level 13 I don't have the most beneficial selection of runes or masteries available.

Watching the LCS stuff lately the commentators always seem to make stuff like an extra Longsword out to be all it takes to win a lane early on, despite the fact it only gives 10 AD which seems like almost nothing. I don't know why but I just seem to have the mindset that the smaller buffs don't make much difference when everything seems to tell me that they do. Maybe I need to look at some numbers as to how much benefit things will actually give to appreciate it (and make sure to look into what enemy champs have too).

When you're playing annie, you said you get two faeri charms? I'm assuming that your making that into a chalice of harmony, there's no need to get mana regen on annie, use your Q to last hit and it refunds the mana whilst stacking up your passive, also try get a rod of ages early on annie then follow up with a deathcap, the rest of the build is subject to change depending on your needs, I feel the dorans ring start does make a lot of difference, you get health AP and mana regen, even though you only get two pots, you'll be out trading the enemy so they'll be less reluctant to harass there for two pots is enough, try it :)

Wouldn't you be leaving yourself open to early ganks though with that start? As a jungler myself I usually ask my mid laner to keep an eye on which side of the lane they ward (if they bought one) and then rotate round to mid around lvl 3 after getting both buffs for a kill or at least to blow a flash.
It's a very offensive start for sure, but to capitalise on it you'd need to play aggressively which would make you a prime target for some jungle-loving <3

My personal preference if i get lumbered with the mid lane role is to start with 1 faerie charm, 1 ward and a few pots just for that sustain and lane safety :)

Yeah I was doing a much better job at last hitting with Q those 2 rounds (and also not standing around like a pillock with my stun charged trying to AA things). I understand what you're saying though. I never actually used either Faerie Charm for anything in both rounds, I just didn't wanna go for the Dorans Ring cos I didn't know how much help it would be. Both rounds I managed to stay in the lane long enough to get a Needlessly Large Rod as my first item (and second item). I was building very glass cannon and it worked out.

Its not so much of a threat at level 13 thankfully, but I take your point. Both rounds I played I did have quite an aggressive start (first was Vlad second was Kayle) and pushed them back plus a decent amount of poke, but once they started to get a few levels in ~5-7 they started to push back.

Played a toxic game last night, why do the opposing team feel the need to be such twits about it, good sportsmanship doesn't seem to factor. On the plus we played a team of plat players the other day who absolutely crucified us, but were very good sports about it and the game was still fun.
