Command and Conquer Generals 2 Thread

Trying to decide if I want to try the beta of this. I'm worried it's going to either install false hope in me or reduce me to a wreck at the thought of one of my favourite franchises being rammed for every penny. :(
 
Seriously hope its good. I like some of the ideas they've put into that trailer above, such as guilding the rockets in via a "cone camera" approach. I also like the fact that it actually looks like a proper C&C game...

There wasn't in the original generals game either, there were supply dumps that you collected from or hacking or supply drops etc.

I've only just noticed this myself. Pretty disappointed. You just want to buy a game once and have everything there, instead we end up paying through the nose for content or unlocks that have been built into the game but shut off to make more money.

I wouldn't expect anything amazing. It was a last minute addition, only due to fan pressure. Which means a lot of it will be rushed, and as the game is 'free to play', not much effort will go into it as if it was a full retail game.

I thought the Single Player was not comming initially? see below

GS: Will there still be a single-player campaign told from multiple viewpoints? How will the business model work in single-player?

JVC: Not at launch. We are currently focused on building a fun, high quality RTS experience that we want to get in your hands as soon as possible. From there, we will continuously add additional content based on a variety of player feedback

But would EA and the developers go through all the cost and expense of using the frostbite 2 engine and all the difficulty associated with writing code using a relatively state of the art technology to make a **** game.

It would destroy EA's rep and the bods at Dice would be ****ed that their brilliant engine has been utilised in a total dog of a game...

Also the game wont make money if its crap becuase F2P only works if people

1) Enjoy The game
2) Are Willing to invest in game experience and buy upgrades

I really want this to be good as its on my 2013 most wanted..

1) BF4
2) Rome 2
3) Generals 2

Thoughts?
 
c&c generals 2 ?

Does anyone have any idea what pc requirments will be for c&c generals 2.?
And when it's getting released for that matter lol.
