Hi guys, bit of an odd request this and I hope this is in the correct forum but dose anyone know any 120mm fans that have 12 LEDS on preferable the 3mm LED holes. don't mind what colour as I will be replacing them anyway I am just after a fan that has the 12 holes pre drilled. Worst case I will have to drill them myself but will have to find a fan with a thick solid wall.

why? some may ask its for a scratch build computer and some rather odd modifying.

Here's my first attempt at adding stupid amounts of LEDs to a fan. The 12 LEDs are a bit wonky but the effect pleased me enough to go further....

... so here's one with 16 LEDs. I've made a few of these and still have two in the front of my PC.

..and the tutorial for it..

And here's a special one with 18 LEDs, although there's no real reason why 16 can't be done and retain the effect.

No tutorial for this one but I did do a project log of sorts.

This is perfect exactly what I was planning to do! even a tutorial Perfect. I hope you don't mind me trying this out on my build Tealc? it looks amazing on those fans of yours.

Is that some kind of fading light sequencer? I have a sequencer in mind but I don't think its fading simply on/off for 12 channels.

Yes it's a sequencer using a good old 555 and some CMOS 4000 series Johnson decade counters with some LED dimming thrown in to keep the LEDs active beyond a flash.

Go right ahead and use the tutorial, that's what its for. If you need any help with it just reply in the tutorial thread.
