Half Life 3 won't be released until the year 3333, it'll be a march release, the 3rd of the month to be exact at 03:33:33 PST.

The world will then end at 03:33:34 PST.
 
I think the HL3 hype train passed me by ages ago.
valve have been taking the **** for far to long with stupid spoiler images and other crap for almost a decade whilst they faff about making console games
 
What does Valve do during its day?

Adding a few hats to TF2 every month seems to be all they do

They need to get a grip.
 
Unless HL3 somehow manages to literally project itself out of your monitor onto the whole room, complete with actual bullet holes in the walls, water splashing in your face, and comes with an actual clone of Alyx and a working mavity gun, I think it's going to be a case of too little too late...

What spoiler images? It's pretty much always fan made, or people making something out of nothing.

Valve have been making console games for years, even HL was on the consoles. It's a big market, one that Valve want a part in, what's wrong with that and what does it have to do with HL3?

No. Valve have never announced HL3.

This whole "hype" is purely fan made, and yet some how Valve are too blame?
 
Its been too long between games, I can't remember the plot any more, nor do I care.

Shame Valve has took to long, the world has moved on, their is a new generation of gamers now who haven't even heard of Half-Life.
 
I think Valve realised a long time ago that spending mega money to make blockbusters was harder than getting rich selling other people's wares :D I do not have high hopes for HL3 any time soon. Like to be surprised though!
 
I don't think it is fair to call it the next Duke Nukem Forever. We have not seen a working build, nothing has been promised, and we don't have a firm release date - all of which applied for DNF.

I think Valve should be given more credit - obviously they would want the next HL game to be revolutionary, and it is possible that the tech they need to get there simply does not exist at present!

I'm sure there have been cheeky hints/trolls ..... but my statement is more of a general comment about the masses being in anticipation about a game (be it announced or not) and wondering if it will ever be released as time ticks on xD

how are they to blame? they clearly know how much interest in the community there was regarding wanting a HL3 game and there is none? pretty sure that's valves fault for not giving the public what they want xD


but to re-iterate some points, time has gone on, I can just about remember the story of HL1 (watched a play through about 6 months or so ago),HL2... can't remember much at all and I never got round to playing the episodes. Would have to be something pretty special now as so much time has passed or they would risk getting slated for not meeting the communities expectations. If they sold the rights to EA we'd be on HL 8 by now xD including all the optional DLC and online only modes xD hahaha...../sigh

i would be more interested in a l4d 3 than hl3 but only if the engine had massive graphic upgrade and doesnt look like tf2 :(
