Whatever happened to Cabaye to Monaco? Was that all BS? Just seen on SSN he's now being linked with PSG

Now we're being linked with Torres ans well as bidding for rooney. I think wenger is looking at his scouting reports from 5 years ago :p

Next we will be linked with cantona and shearer

Either that or wengers been playing fm 2008

Lol. That post made me chuckle. I think all this talk about those players is paper talk/ Arsenal making it look like they are looking to spend. Why on earth would we go for Torres or even Rooney I don't know. Too much money for what you get.

I hope tomorrow or in the coming week we see Higuain holding a Arsenal shirt on Arsenal.com followed by Cesar few days after :D

I wouldn't be at all surprised if all of the Rooney to Arsenal rumours are based entirely off Wenger being asked if he thinks Rooney is a good player, and with him responding that any team would be interested in Rooney. Nothing but respectful comment when asked an blatantly loaded question. I've seen the questions somewhere, obviously Sky don't bother linking to or telling us what the actual questions are because that isn't their style.

"Rooney could be an interesting player for everybody in the world, who would turn him down?" Wenger told Al Jazeera.

"David Moyes' first challenge is to go in to Manchester and bridge the gap between him and Rooney. If that is feasible or not depends on his personality and if Rooney bears a grudge or not, we will see."

"It will be interesting to see how that will be handled."

For the record I agree, I'll also say (and dont take this the wrong way Arsenal fans) unless Rooney just wants out of OT at any cost I really dont see Arsenal being an attractive option for him. He'll of of no doubt been thinking to himself if he made himself available he'd get offers from Madrid, Chelsea and City which doesn't appear to have happened

Neither do I think it's an attractive option for him either, at the moment we are still a good few players away from challenging for the title, even though we finished the second half of the season strongly. There's cause for optimism at Arsenal for the upcoming season, but even so Rooney could potentially have his pick of clubs, all of whom would pay him stupid money as well as guaranteeing at least a strong challenge for trophies. Why he would want to take a huge risk on a team that hasn't won anything in 8 years is beyond me.

No offers.

Blanc want's him at psg and i think Monaco have said they will match any bid.

He be sold for a tad over 20m just a matter of time

Pretty much what i was thinking, the tabloids and other media hacks have put 2 and 2 together and got 5 lol.

I did read a few weeks back that Arsenal were going to offer £20mill for Rooney, didnt take it seriously enough but seems like the bid could have some traction in it.

For £20mill and £150k a week, id take Rooney but i dont think it will happen tbh...something like what a lot of people saying in here ier £25-30mill would probably seal the deal if Arsenal stump the money then its just a case of how much he wants a week.

Things have seemed to gone quiet on the Higuain front, havent read or heard anything about it anymore :( Wonder if Arsenal have lost interest due to Real and their stupid ways of dealing in the transfer window is whats causing the issue.

Still hoping we land him though, was hoping that it would have been settled when Ancelotti was made Real manager.

Cardiff have supposedly had an £8m bid for Tom Ince accepted. Seeing as it doesn't look like we're in for him anymore and we get 35% of the fee, I hope this starts a bidding war.
Thiago loves Barcelona! Feels like hazard saga all over again

As in he was never going to join you?

I would welcome Torres at Arsenal. Especially if he comes cheap i.e under 20m.

He is still good, despite barren spells. He can score in the big games, and maybe he will come good at a different club. Lets not forget he is still one of spains main strikers and they arent a half bad internaional side (sarcasm inserted)

Unfourtunatly tho, it does show how far Arsenal have fallen, getting excited at the thought of signing another clubs rubbish...

Not sure about signing Torres AND higuain tho. They are the same type of player. Unless Arsene is thinking of a formation change and playing two center forwards.

Ok he only scored 8 times in the league last season, but he got 9 in 16 in Europe which isnt a bad return.

What happened to Arsenal's supposed interest in Nani? Thats gone quite recently.
