United appoint Steve Round as assistant manager, Chris Woods as goalkeeping coach and Jimmy Lumsden as first-team coach.

Yayyyyyy!!! :) Enjoy the 'football' next season United fans.

I have just read that the official window doesn't open until today. Teams can freely negotiate into contract talks before hand but officially transfer can't take place until this date until the 31st August? Is that right?

As far as I know, the English transfer window officially opens today. The Italian (and some other European countries) opens on the 1st August.

I think.

It opens on the last day of the season but players can't sign contracts and be registered until now, that's why Liverpool have announced deals that have been agreed etc but not officially signed up.

It's not my fault you make stupid posts, which fall apart when anyone asks simple questions. It's happened in the past where I've asked completely reasonable questions, but you haven't been able to answer... so you've just raged out and accused me of trolling, or similar :o.

It's got nothing to do with an inability to answer you Moses, it's for the 6th or 7th time I don't care about you, I don't care about your opinion, I don't want to converse with you, if I could tell you exactly what I think about you I'd be permabanned within seconds, for some reason though you just cant get that through your head.

If I wanted to or respected you I would answer your boring questions but alas I don't and I don't so please stop wasting all of our time.

Spurs are thought to have signed two wonder kids from Zagreb for £16m :0

I will file this in paper nonsense until something concrete appears on the Spurs website.

Also Paulinho now off to Real apparently. Ramos out the Brazilian team in (apart from Neymar). Rofl

''Tottenham are close to a £17m deal for Dinamo Zagreb's Croatian whizz-kids Alen Halilovic and Tin Jedvaj, which represents £500,000 for each full year that each boy-wonder has been alive. The move will disappoint Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Roma, who all wanted to snap up one or other of them. According to media reports, Halilovic is "the new Luka Modric", while Jedvaj will remain in Zagreb until he's able to get a work permit, which could take a year or more depending on how good he actually is.''

i'm not so sure this is a good idea. seems like a lot of cash for two kids.

i'll be gutted if paulinho goes to real. watching him last night and he'd make our midfield incredibly good. bags of energy, good touch and knows where the goal is too.

I was reading they'll go straight out on loan. Levy's pretty good at buying a bargain when he sees one.

Me too although I was never convinced unless i saw him in the shirt. The player made it quite clear that nothing would be decided until after the tournament so where the rumours he had agreed to join is a bit puzzling and unfair tbh.

Cesar could be a good signing. Brazil No1. Cant be bad. I hope he becomes Arsenal No1. But why did he choose QPR over Arsenal last Summer?

Dont think we were ever in for him, its worked out nicely though. QPR paid good money to get him then promptly got relegated and he wants out hopefully to Arsenal:p

Id love to see to him in an Arsenal shirt next season but i have a feeling that because of his stupidly good performances for Brazil in the Confed cup just gone...hes going to be in demand, world class keeper and hasnt really put a foot wrong throughout the confed cup tourny. Even for QPR he pulled off some amazing saves and i think he would be awesome for Arsenal if we signed him. Dont think hes going to cost us the earth transfer and wages wise but he would give some much needed competition for Chessers, who i feel has taken the number 1 goalkeeper spot for granted.

Still nothing on Higuain or any other signings, starting to worry a bit now. Just want us to make some good signings so at least Arsenal fans have something to look forward to.

How much did Utd pay Ferdinand's agent? You were only able to get him due to limitless cash too I assume? :p

In terms of value for money, signing Ferdinand seems quite prudent considering the number of quality seasons United have had out of him. I'm not saying that United haven't wasted money, but Ferdinand is a bad example :)

If you compare it to Thiago who is probably only going to stay in England for a few seasons then it probably isn't worthwhile to pay extortionate fees is it?

Wow that is a lot of money for two promising youngsters. Arsenal were after them but wasn't much chance of Wenger paying that amount for them. And personally I wouldn't either.
