On topic - the call to prayer isn't just being broadcast at 3am. The call occurs five times a day, so it'll be for each of those times.
Go on, then, Groen, tell us why it's disgusting?
OMG...so you mean I will miss it 5 times a day while I'm not watching Channel 4...this is an outrage!

I'm more offended by Eastenders to be honest. My license fee goes towards that trash. This is just another in a long list of scheduled programs that I have no interest in. Unfortunately for me TV schedules are designed to cater to a large audience rather than my specific tastes.
Actually if you close one eye and poke a finger in your ear whilst reading the Quaran it says you can.
(Along with doing anything else you feel like doing but is otherwise deemed haraam by other Muslims)
But they're only broadcasting the early morning call. On the first day they're running 20-second promos pointing people to their website where they're providing the rest of the calls. On the rest of the days it will be early morning on C4 only and the rest on the website.

Oh, I heard on the radio that it was all the calls. Maybe they changed it after people were outraged. On LBC they listed all of the five programmes that it would interrupt.

and not just a plain dumb ass, one of a royally "highest kind"! (without swearing this is what I could come up with)
fact:
1. the tv ratings for ch4 barely go above 5 million
2. the adhan will last around 5 minutes (i am sure you would rather be watching a commercial!)
3. there are muslims in this country.. and it is kind of nice to be catered for by the mainstream channels
4. if you don't like it change the channel, you have the ability OR listen to it and the translation and the beautiful sound/words.
The obvious? (assuming you are not a dumb ass)
Are you permitted to behead people or not, sleep with prostitutes or not, marry underage girls or not, kill Christians or not, desecrate graveyards or not, singing or not, kill other Muslims or not etc etc.
For everything that is supposedly prohibited there is another group pointing at the same book saying the flipping opposite, kind of makes a nonsense of the whole 'OMG this is so prohibited' idea don't you think?
In fact the only thing they appear to agree on is not eating bacon, which was possibly the worst decision ever

I'm really not bothered by this Ch4 thing, it seems like a good idea to cater for other religions, even if it is only a PR stunt
