They should have been doing this on a regular basis and doing the same with games on XBLA. Then maybe people would be more interested in digital.
As it stands most people will just look at Games On Demand and think "why would I want to buy games at those prices?"
 
meanwhile on ps+ free games include XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Catherine, The Cave, Demon's Souls, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, LittleBigPlanet Karting and Uncharted 3.

Ps plus is the better service for games but it isnt free i know what u mean but people calling it free grinds my gears lol

ive been using it on and off and the last few months have really been great! Before that a lot of the content i already had or had played and sold on but lately its been new to me :)

well obviously but I dont see Microsofts GOLD members getting this level of quality on free games. Last month it was fable 3 which is donkeys years old, this month its defense grid which while a canny game is an 800 point arcade game. some of the ps+ games were released this year. XCOM is still in the charts in most supermarkets.

Mate dw i completely agree, how they went back on the promise of halo and assassins creed was a great start too, even with those games being bloody old!

Ps plus gets its share of crap mind but its easily overseen by some of the gems we get

Also keep in mind ps plus is all about games, thats what we are paying for whereas Gold is just adding it now to try and compete but before that there service was about paying to access online services etc

This thread is nothing to do with Xbox Live Gold, these offers are available to free members too. Why do people insist in trying to turn every thread into an Xbox vs PlayStation debate?

Gold vs PSN+ has been done to death and everyone is aware of the current PSN+ benefits of free digital rentals. It will be interesting to see how both change their offerings for the next generation but this isn't the thread for that.

Got Mass Effect last night, been wanting to play them through again! And got rid of my disc version ages ago so that was a good buy at £4.50!

Is Far Cry 3 worth it at £8.99? I remember the second one being okay but with annoying flaws which ruined it.

Bioshock Infinite is £49.99 at the moment, crazy for the digital copy. So I hope that drops, haven't played it yet so will keep an eye on that.

Crisis 3 any good? I did enjoy all the others, even the original, but the controls on the Xbox let it down a bit, I hate that you can't sprint without using the power sprint.
 
We actually have an Xbox Live vs PSN thread on page 2! Alternatively we could just close all the different sub forums and threads and just have one massive thread...
