Wimbledon

that match was always going to be a foregone conclusion. pointless watching it tbh. :p

Well Berdych matched him for the first set only losing the tie break then he was 3-0 up with two breaks in the second set and then self imploded and lost that one 6-4.

Murray's got no chance if he continues to plays like this imo. Might win today and get to the final but his second serve is absolutely pathetic and Djokovic will rip it to pieces :(

Edit: Why do the commentators never tell it how it is? The Olympic crowd was far more supportive because it was your average Joe cheering on the Brit rather than a bunch of toffs who can afford over priced Wimbledon tickets and just sit there looking all posh.

For some reason I thought Ferrer would walk past Del Poy.

Nah, Ferrer's not got enough about himself to beat the top few players in the world. He's not a hard enough hitter to win points, and when somebody find the lines as well as DelPo, Murray, Nadal, Djokovic, or Federer his running game will only get him so far.

What's happened to Murray. I'm not a big fan of him but he's clearly a good player when playing well but he just seems to get himself really worked up (and not in a good way) for no real reason, over and over again.

Totally deserved that. I haven't seen Murray serve this poor for years. 109MPH first serve and barely managing 80MPH second serves. In fact, he's serving slower than Robson did FFS.

He seems to have paralysed himself - I get the impression he almost expected to win it this year, and now that the way is opening up for him (with Fed, Nadal, Tsonga et al out) he's become nervous. His serving's been incredibly tight.

He's reverted back to playing the same sort of defensive tennis he played a few years ago rather than attacking Verdasco which would win him the match.
