Pretty sure when I had calpol when I was little, it was because I was ill ? So not only did they leave Maddie alone in a foreign country so they could go on the **** they did it when she was ill ?!??

All this talk of sedatives is conspiracy theory nonsense. They may well be Doctors, but that doesn't mean they have free access to all the drugs they want. Further to that, they were travelling to a foreign country and you would be a fool to have on you prescribed drugs without a prescription, especially given their careers. What quashes it even further is that given how high profile the case became and the involvement of the UK Police, they would no doubt have checked whether the McCanns had access to any such sedatives.

I'm inclined to take anything the Portuguese Detective says with a pinch of salt, the handling of the crime scene was a total botch job.

Okay, just going to call you out here, are they or is one of them not a GP doc?
If so they have access to sedatives, all the time, it'll be within the emergency drugs box for the practice, or in any doctors bag.
It is refreshed by a script to your pharmacist, who will happily provide more.
It is quite easy to acquire, easy to travel with, and easy to administer.

The UK police won't have investigated if they had access to such sedatives, as they simply will have had access, any GP will.

Considering that the police still insist Madeleine is probably alive, it wouldn't make much sense for the parents to assume she's not.

If they killed her, they must be history's greatest criminal masterminds because they've managed to dispose of the body without a single trace of evidence, under extraordinary circumstances, within an absurdly restrictive timeframe, without anyone realising anything was amiss.

Sigh, they are always managing somehow to creep back in to the news. Yes it's sad about the poor little girl but I'm bored hearing about them now and then.

A strong non-selective antihistamine such as diphenhydramine knocks me for 6 and they're a couple of quid over the counter at boots.

I'm sure a couple of those in a small child would do more harm than good.

And who's fault is that?
Everybody blames the McCann's but you need to blame the press & media.
The McCanns don't have a press agent who pays to have them put on TV or in the papers.
The media for some reason will gladly bend over and take any McCann story to run and why?

Yes they do, granted they don't pay but the did employ Clarence Mitchell ton conduct their PR circus.

Almost certainly she wouldn't look like the picture of the girl that was released yesterday. They aged her as if she was still going to school in the UK.

Yeah I have to agree. The picture will probably hurt more than it will help. It's complete guessing and doesn't really offer anything useful.

But the media can still say no and why?
Well we have nearly 600 posts in a thread that doesn't want to hear about it anymore so go figure.
If you don't want to hear about it then don't contribute to the PR circus in threads and they will quickly disappear of the first page.

So it's 17:54 so let's see how long this can stay off the first page:)
 
Why would anybody want this story to drop off the radar ? A little girl went missing & is still missing, All missing persons cases should be followed up until either the person is found or a body is found.
The only thing I am sick of is people moaning & whinging about it. If you/they was related or even just lived in the same town as Any missing person you would want the story heard as much as possible as well.
Whingers trying to gain Internet kudos by dissing this story are to obvious.

Because its pointless lol.
She would be unrecognisable by now or the body would be incredibly decomposed.
 
Police know that after a few days, trying to find a missing person is exponentially more difficult than only the first 48 hours, 5 years is ludicrous.
