The video is shocking though.

he didn't take it onto the pitch at the start by the sounds of it. the guy tried to fist fight him, the referee apparently went to his bag and pulled out a hunting knife that he stuck in the players chest according to witnesses

sounds like what happened was

fist fight with player he send off some games ago/this game depending on which news site.
he gets a hunting knife from his bag and stabbed the guy in the chest (video evidence of that to there's a video of him being rushed to the hospital that looked like a large knife handle sticking out the centre of his chest , I didn't want to watch it so stopped it fast)
then
angry mob "stoned" him probably to death. (Why they felt the need to go past this part I just can't understand it..
maybe an eye for an eye can be considered acceptable for some but they went well beyond that)
they then quarted his body (cutting his legs and arms off one at a time.)
before chopping his head off and allegedly sticking it on a spike in the middle of the field.

Bolded parts happened with 100 percent certainty I've seen the guys facebook picture on a news site and the hospital video was definitely him with the injuries sustained as told by the press so non of this is entirely exaggerated out of all proportion

Well reading more into the story what happened was when the Ref stabbed the player, the players family with the help of crowd took control of him and tied him up.

When they learned that the player died, the family killed him. They also cut his legs/arms off other then this head.

Reading that, I can understand why they killed him. The family of the player must had rage/blood in their eyes, no wonder they did what they did. Personally think the Ref deserved it. Though I think cutting him was a step too far. Personally I be happy just killing the person.

You worry me.

It's a horrific thing to happen. Clearly things escalated to an awful degree, and the ref stabbing the player is too much, let alone what happened subsequently.

Well think about it.

You walking down the street with your Mum/Dad/Brother/Dog plus maybe your 2 year old baby girl or even pushing your new born baby in a palm.

Some guy comes walking up too and stabs them and kills them right in-front of you. You telling me you wouldn't imminently start smacking them till they stopped moving?

That's if you don't freeze in shock and maybe scream like a women from some 60's horror flick waiting to be killed yourself of cause.

Personally, I just think it's really shocking how the REF had a knife on him and how the crowd had weapons too it seems, where was the police force at this game? I thought the Police over there are heavely armed due to the large drug gangs.

someone took his head off it's not attached in a certain video where a nurse/doctor grabs the head and raises it about an inch showing the camera it's not attached to the body whilst other people seem to be trying to tie/stich his limbs back on
