Hi guys,
I just finished building my rig and here are the specs:
i7 4770k
EVGA Gtx 780
MSI GD65 Gaming
Kingston Hyperx 16gb Ram 2400Mhz
Seasonic 850w Gold 80 plus
H100i
Corsair C70 case

When i enter bios it shows my CPU temp around 45-50c. I replace the fans that came with the H100i as they were noisy and were running on full blast, so i have to replace them with Corsair SP120 and i still get the same temps. Anyone can help me out on my temperature?

The h100i is mounted on top of my case with the fan pushing hot air out of my case and how can you increase the ram speed to its actual specification of 2400mhz on the bios? Its currently running at 1333Mhz.

Thank you so much guys.

Is it running at stock or overclocked?
Try remove and resit the cpu cooling block, and thermal paste u only need a thin layer if u r spreading.

Curious, what Corsair sp120 u using? quiet or high edition? pwm?

If your Kingstom ram is XMP - it should have settings for different clocks already in the memory. All you have to do is to find option for this in your bios, and you should be able to simply chose a clock speed that you want (find it in the manual for your bios).
What is your idle temperature in Windows ? If it's much lower in windows - there is nothing to worry about - there are some further low power modes enabled when you boot windows.

Good choice on the case btw ^^

I got the high Performance Edition... the fans are 3 pin but my mobo support 4 pin..

I use a program called RealTemp and it display the temperature around 35-50C..

Thankx :)

Usually the BIOS puts the CPU under a little load, check in Windows with programs like Real Temp or HW Monitor (edit seen your reply above)

Also check the temps with the cpu under full load.

How do you test the cpu and possibly the gpu on load?

check with cpu with realtemp you might need to reset cpu/Thermal Paste, have you oc your cpu with high voltage's? ram in your bios setting under dram freq select your speed xmp profile

I guess not many ppl know but corsair did release the sp120 high performance PWM (4pin). Using 2 of them for air cooling.

For cpu or gpu stress testing try aida64 (or both at the same time).

Thank you guys for the reply.. i havent oc yet as i dont know how. I might just need to reinstall my h100i and reapplied thermal paste.. i'm thinking of buying two noctua nf12 120mm fan for my radiator because i heard good reviews about it.

Try enabling XMP profile for your memory in the bios. Then it should run at the stated speed

Also, after running your PC for some time do the tubes on the H100i feel the same temperature or is one hotter than the other?

i doubt either get hotter. the heat transfer is so bad.

my graphics card noticibly heats the coolant in my system. but the cpu does nothing, even at 90 :/

i still think there isnt a problem so long as you are below 40 in windows at idle. (not bios, windows)

Idle temperatures are not really important, it is more about load temperatures. Most people think around 80 degrees is around the limit for 24/7 load temperatures, which I would agree with. I would imagine that a H100i should be around 70 degrees under load (depending on how lucky you got with your chip in terms of the TIM application under the IHS!)

Yes it could possibly be the thermal paste... not evenly distributed in the cpu..

Well the H100i comes with a even thin spread of good quality paste. I suppose it is possible some of it got rubbed off during installation or maybe the cooler needs to be reseated.

Hi, after you reseat the pump/heat sink, after 3 or 4 days just nip the screws up a touch as the thermal paste would have settled down properly.

Hey guys it seems im sill getting exact temps even though i reapplied and resits the h100i.

And it seems the corsair links doesnt give me full controll on the fan and the pump. I dont know what to do anymore..
