Just read that Arsenal are now preparing a £35mill bid for Suarez :/. Damn it really is a slow news day for these football journo's lol.

Could be that we are trying to use the Suarez bid as leverage for Higuain but god knows whats going on now.

As long as it's not for the purported £1m I'd be happy signing him.

Better than that rat-faced **** le Fondre

He may be rat-faced, but he will score us plenty this season coming. ;)

But seriously, Mills it totally overrated. That is why we sold him and made a nice profit. His head is up his own derriere. And that is why he is up for sale again.

McD is showing signs which you should be worried about. He seems to be slowly replacing the team with players not good enough for Reading and only players that he knows. This was ultimately his downfall at Reading. Too much faith in who / what he knows and scared to make changes.

Mills has been linked with us well before McD, also he's only brought in Hunt of his ex players who is a good Championship player. Don't believe everything you read ;) I'm happy with his signings so far and trust him 110%.

Rumours apparently that Arsenal are upping their efforts on Suarez to 40m(Euros)

;):D...im really hoping its a leverage bid in order for us to get Higuain from Real. As much as i like Suarez as a player, i just dont think he is the right fit for Arsenal ie too much baggage for my liking. Id rather us get Higuain who doesnt come with too much baggage rather than Suarez.

What i dont get is that if we are upping our bid to £35mill or whatever the figure is then why is it that we are struggling to meet Real's valuation of Higuain??..Real want £25mill for Higuain, for me its a no brainer...just pay the £25mill FFS:p

Im in a permanent state of confused.com with these stories regarding Arsenal and our transfer targets:p:D

How do you know that you're struggling to meet the valuation of Higuain?

I dont know for certain but a lot of papers and online websites are saying pretty much the same thing. Its been a month or so since we were first linked with Higuain, one min the deal is more or less done then next Real are saying that we havent made an approach then to top it off, rumours are that we have only offered £23mill and Real want £25mill.

Im taking it all with a huge pinch of salt tbh but if the rumours/reports are true then it doesnt bode very well for us trying to get world class players in.

July 14th is when we are off for our pre-season tour to the far east, this is why i was hoping the Higuain deal would have been completed so he could join up with the squad and start to gel with them.

Gervinho won't be going, seriously can people not remember the past at all.

Roma saying they want a year long loan then a £7mil fee. Wenger might loan him out, but won't sell him for a £7mil fee. Same way he at first wanted 10mil for Bendtner despite refusing to use him, then it was more like £8mil last year, so scuppered a bunch of potential deals and eventually went on loan and will go for even less this year. He's done this with a ridiculous number of players.

Then IF someone actually managed to get a decent deal off Wenger for a player they'd talk

Roma "So Gervinho we've agreed a fee, now personal terms, we'll offer £40k a week as thats the going rate for someone of your ability"
Gervinho "but I signed here for 60k a week and get a yearly raise... I want 70k at least to make it worth leaving"
Roma "go **** yourself, if we were paying on a scale of wages to forehead you'd be worth that much, but we pay on ability to play football and you aren't that good"
Gervinho "fine I'll sit here not playing getting rich because Wenger's a tool, he'll probably give me a new contract and a 10k raise anyway, if I play badly enough or get injured often enough, maybe it will be a 20k raise"

Then like a bunch of other players he'll sit around on his arse getting paid more than he can get anywhere else.

Maybe Wenger will turn over a new leaf and actually realise he doesn't want or need Gervinho, will realise he massively overpaid and will accept a fair price for a transfer deal, reality is, there is almost no chance of that. I also can see us getting stuck for some of his wages on a year loan AND finding whoever loans him completely uninterested in actually buying him at the agreed price at the end of the loan.

I'd say its been very productive, we've not lost any of our best players yet.... :p

Only a matter of time before the rumours start that Wilshere or Carzola want to leave.....:p

But personally i think us getting rid of the deadwood in the club is a good thing ie free's up more wages for us to get better players in hopefully.

Definitely a good thing getting rid of as much deadwood as possible. A bigger bonus if the wages saved from getting rid of them are allocated to better players but tbh I wouldn't mind if we get rid of the deadwood and just promote some of the youngsters. I just want rid of some of the **** we already have

Don't you usually save that until there's no time left to replace them? :p

haha very good point

Don't be silly, last time this happened they brought in Andre Santos...

Ahhh Santos what a guy, first gets banned from driving as he was caught speeding then when we played Utd at OT, he decides to exchange shirts with RVP at HT:D.

Hopefully we will never EVER see him in an Arsenal shirt EVER.
