I think it was vice versa, there was a vacuum simulator 2012, which undoubtly became a big hit..

So everyone jumped on the 'jobs everyone want to do' simulator bandwagon. Im getting excited for 'pot wash simulator 2014'.

It's almost a strange kind of repeat of that lovely era when the whole raft of "Sim SomethingOrOther" games were around...

Does anybody remember "Sim Ant"? That's right - you were managing a colony of ants - you had control of an individual ant and could help out the queen, go out of the nest foraging for food and stuff (sometimes in a garden but also sometimes inside a house where you had to avoid various hazards like the dreaded vacuum cleaner), defend against enemy red ants, and if your ant died you just took control of a newly hatched one (as long as the colony had some more eggs left over)...
