Steam Summer Sale

is tropic 4 worth the buy if you have number 3 already?

Loved 3 and still play regulary

A lot of stuff in T4 is very similar to T3, but T4 really shines in the later stages of the game. You actually end up building a large modern city rather than a large town with lots of old buildings. I'd say it's worth it.

well said i was not gonna buy much this sale 3 days in and im at this:
XCOM Enemy Unknown
XCOM: Enemy Unknown - Elite Soldier Pack WW
XCOM: Enemy Unknown: Slingshot DLC
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2: Siberian Strike
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2
Sniper Ghost Warrior 2: World Hunter Pack
FTL: Faster Than Light
Defiance Standard Edition

I still haven't played any game I've purchased in the Steam sale over the last 2 years.

I doubt I'll ever have time to play them anyway :p

Yeah, I finally decided enough is enough, don't think I'll be buying anything in this Sale.

Besides, by the time I've finished my backlog, the games will be even cheaper :p

Plus I've got everything I really want already, and Steam even in Sale mode is not even all that cheap anymore. The other digital places are undercutting them now.

So far I've been quite good I think, only picked up

Hotline Miami (£1.74)
Dark Souls (£4.99)

I would have bought Dishonored for £5 if it had won the community vote... Hopefully it will come up again

Hotline Miami is awesome!!!

arkham city olooks tempting but many people are moaning about the amount of DRM on it? anyone who has it on steam is it that bad or??

Its never been an issue for me.

Just realised that between voting and buying stuff I have 7 of the summer trading cards. Just need the Dead Island, Prison Architect and Torchlight II to complete the set :D

On a related note, am I the only one who doesn't have a single clue what these 'trading cards' are all about? Some games seem to have them, it doesn't tell you how you actually get them (e.g. I've finished Bioshock Infinite but don't have any cards for it), but you can use them to craft 'badges' and get some seemingly useless extras. But you can also sell them it seems (based on the Football Manager one I've randomly received, despite not having FM) for pennies.

Is there some greater purpose for all this or is it just more crap Steam are adding?
