Today's ride http://app.strava.com/activities/66919375 a little bit of climbing, but to do the Rapha challenge I'd have to do that much every day this week which won't happen due to work and legs!
So this is what happens when you take a ~21mph averaging flatlander and put him in the hills. Really gorgeous ride this morning, timed it perfectly to avoid the real start of the heat. Father-in-law showed me up something rotten.
Ubiquitous strava link! Unsuprisingly no records, anywhere.
Sitting in the in laws conservatory with a post ride espresso and TMS on the radio. Poyfect!
Wouldn't a car satnav try to take you routes bikes aren't allowed to go? although I guess you could set a route manually.
Aye unfortunately. I would consider myself fitter than average but the climbs really put me through the mill. Ach, it can only get betterHoly HR batman, those hills really took it put of you eh!?
I find hills force you to work hard, on the flat unless racing its too easy to ease off a little.
I won't be able to do the Rapha challenge either. I've done 15% of it today, but then its back to Cambridge and commuting with an average climb of <100 metres each way :/.
The leader of that challenge has done 110% already?

Just my luck to go on a day there was apparently an organised race happening. When I got back into Abergavenny I was planning to do another trip up Blorenge to take me to 8000ft for the day but all the roads were closed for a tandem/recumbent race.
You wouldnt need to change the BB but you'll get a new one if you buy DA cranks, so you may as well use that.He has Ultegra 6700 on it at the moment (will be removed of course) but will i need to change the BB if i was going for a DA9000 groupset? (i'm clueless on BB!).
Wouldn't it also be a bit on the heavy side?
