I use Harrods towels, but to be fair my housekeeper does the holding and I have for sometime suspected she is selling them on eBay and using towels from Aldi.

The toilet paper has to come down closest to the wall.

It's just not gravy if it doesn't.

I'd always thought 'Over' until I had one arm in a sling and it became obvious that one-handed operation is much easier with 'Under'; you can use the top of your hand to stop the roll from moving as your fingers pull at the perforations.

So there you go: 'Under', because when you return from A&E with your arm in a sling, the last thing you need to be doing is reversing the orientation of a goddamn toilet roll.
