Steam Summer Sale

Question - If I purchase a game bundle but already own one of the games within the bundle, am I able to sell/gift that particular game or will it show twice in my library?

(I'm new to steam)

You cannot gift it, the duplicate will simply disappear.

Neither actually. It basically gives you the rest of the bundle as normal and the game you had basically doesn't get included. So you dont get a copy to give to someone else.

So, Tropico, Says it uses Kalypso Launcher, Does it not just launch though Steam or is this another Farcry 3 Uplay style thing?

It launches through steam but you get a splash screen that you have to register with... its not DRM, well, sorta is but you don't have to be constantly online to play.... I don't think that you have to register... I think its a way to get your save game to the cloud.

Stelly

Well I had to set up a kalypso account which seemed fairly pointless but it launches through steam, click the kalypso login button and off we go El Presidente!

How good is Gothic? I see 1 2 3 and Arcania can be bought for a tenner?

What are they like?

I've really enjoyed all of them over the years (1 and 2 in particular), and all 4 for a tenner is definitely worth it. They're a bit different to most of the other open world RPGs out there (at times they feel more like MMOs with the reputation building/reward system) but it might appeal to you if you look more into it.

Thx.

I would add a hint of caution and say that while a good game the boss fights are truly terrible and ruined the experience for me :(

Depends on your game style. I played as a stealth non lethal hacker, so when it came to the boss fights and you had no choice but to use combat they were very frustrating. I ended up using a trainer to just get them out of the way.

Similar question to e36Adz..

If I already own Arkham City but buy Arkham City GOTY I will end up with 2 copies in my game library, yes?

What if I gift my original copy, will it get removed from my games list?

No. You can't gift your original copy, nor will you get an additional copy from buying it again in a bundle. If you buy it as a gift then yeah you can gift it, but otherwise it's just going to discredit that you bought it again.

Edit: Think I kinda misread that - I think you may either just end up with the DLC, or an entry with Arkham City, and one for the GOTY. Only very few games give you a giftable copy, and it will tell you at checkout what's going to happen.

As did I... In fact I got the achievements in the end for no-one ever spotting me, never triggering any alarms and being a pacifist...

I had so much ammo and grenades for everything as a result going into each boss fight and no need to bother trying to conserve it... Plus by upgrading the Typhoon system thing early on most of the boss fights you just blast them twice with that and they're done for (on the hardest difficulty too)
