Hey GD,

Bit stuck on this one and was wondering if anyone here would know where I could get one of the below:

Holds 2 x AA batteries and has a 2 PIN connector.

Its for something I got from the US so wanted to see if it was possible to source one from the UK first before going back to the company I brought it off.

Also if anyone knows of a rechargeable one (like RC packs) that would be fine as well.

you could use any battery pack/holder that is the same voltage just cut the connector off that one and stick it on another or find one with the same connector.

whats it from anyway?

find out what the connector is called it's probably on here somewhere http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__463__408__Chargers_Accessories-Battery_Adapters.html
once you know what it's called just find a 2x aa battery holder and swap the connector , just use a cable connector strip if you don't want to solder

in the Rc world loads of people remove the battery holder from the transmitter and just add a connector for a rechargeable lipo battery (dangerous without a low voltage alarm)

for example http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__29528__Battery_Holder_4_x_39_AAA_39_.html
no use to you but it comes without the connector just the wires because you are supposed to add whatever connector your device requires..

the only thing you need is something with the same voltage as 2x aa batteries and the same connector which you can add yourself if you know what it's called

Although I've just realised that the button switches between 3 modes of flashing :(

oh if it has 3 modes of flashing theres probably something controlling the on/off pulses or whatever.

if you added a regular battery pack the lights would probably just be on/off
the led driver is prob built into that battery holder aswell.

you could probably get it repaired at an electronics shop or you could try yourself it might just be a lose wire

I've had a look myself but can't see anything missing or loose.

If I could just get the battery pack without the 3 modes I wouldnt really mind, just need to find the right one :)

Welcome to the Official OcUK Electronics stuff thread!
If you've got a query about something electronic or electrical, want to learn something new or interesting or just feel like looking these strange wizened electronics nutters, i hope that you'll find what you're looking for here!
you might even be able to get one of the "strange wizened electronics nutters" to make what you need for the cost of the bits
