Rooney isn't the best striker, nor midfielder around, is 28, has had a couple seasons of issues with fitness and motivation shall we say AND has asked to leave.

Cesc is 26, is generally rated in the scale from either best in his position in the world to, top 5 at worst in his position. he's just joined, he's said on multiple occassions all summer he absolutely unquestionably wants to stay at Barca... Barca have said on multiple occassions Cesc doesn't want to leave and they don't want Cesc to leave. 30mil for Cesc is embarrassing, 20mil for Rooney, isn't.

Barca need a "while we love Cesc, this is enough to buy 2 top class players" money, 50mil + , otherwise what is the point.

Which is an equally embarrassing offer. :p Mourinho would make an offer like that just to turn Rooneys head and cause more problems for United. His stupid low offer coupled with his insistence that "you have to be first choice striker this season for the world cup next year" and I would have said hes just being a **** as usual.

I have no idea why we are not trying to plunder Bayern to be honest. They have an amazing squad with top top players there who will barely see a dozen starts next year. Their midfield was amazing without Thiago and Goetze.

Well i think most Arsenal fans are now used to it:p

Hopefully when the team and Wenger get back from their far east tour then we might see some deals being signed, sealed and delivered. But as someone just said a few posts ago, its getting late and lots of teams are now looking to hang onto their players or will sell them at an extremely inflated price...which for Arsenal is very bad news :(.

The gustavo started as a tweet, which basically said Arsenal could do with a player like him and he might be available as they just signed thiago.

This then slowly hit the papers, saying Arsenal are thinking about it, then we are offering £15m for him. :p

Now it's on about three or four papers saying he is a target for us.

Makes you laugh how these things develope over a few days

How do you know? If Arsenal are prepared to negotiate a deal around the £40m mark and Suarez wants to go, it's entirely possible.

If he continues his form and doesn't behave like a complete tool (something he seems incapable of), then I think Arsenal could do a lot, lot worse.

Hmmm i just cant see why Arsenal would take a punt on Suarez, it just doesnt make any sense...anyhow im hoping that nothing comes of it in all honesty.

Oh right, didnt realise it started as a tweet...was a bit confused as to why we are being linked with him, if true. But for £15mill he wouldnt be a bad addition to the squad, hes pretty defensive when i have seen him play. Anyhow i suppose the papers have to make up these rumours to get through the day...wouldnt surprise me if we are being linked with Bale next:p:D

Its just too risky for us imho, hes too much of a liability not only for us but for any team in football. I know hes down under and SSN have been saying that hes meant to sit down with Rodgers to thrash out his future at Liverpool so i suppose anything could happen.

Ideal scenario for me would be to get Higuain at Arsenal and let Real have Suarez and they can deal with his 'issues':p
 
I think he would be a quality player for the money, if you picked up Bernard and Gustavo for 35mil, that would be some great work. Much better value than one Higuain.

Ideal transfer scenario i would like but probably wouldnt happen is Higuain in, Bernard in, Cesar in and Gustavo in...out of those 4?? none of them will be at Arsenal next season:p
