Bentley 4x4, no.... just no!

It really does seem horrific - however I think it will probably sell extremely well. I can't see the appeal of any Bentley, just seems like something you'd buy if you have no real imagination - it really is just tonnes of car (quite literally!) and tonnes of power. I expect to see rows of these replacing the Range Rover Sports currently littering Chelsea!

Its 1,000 manufacturing jobs and I suspect most of the sales will be exports to China and the Middle East. We need the balance of payments, so to Bentley I say: good luck.

EDIT: Not to my taste either, but I bet Top Gear's review of it will be funny.

You cant see any appeal at all about an ultra luxurious very high quality coupe or full size saloon with a W12 Twin Turbo engine up front? (Bentley Continental GT, Flying Spur)

I guess this means you dont see the appeal of any powerful luxury cars?

No I love powerful luxury cars - just when you are spending £120k+ I just don't understand why you would have something so garish. The equivalent Aston or even Ferrari (OK not really a GT but more my preference) just have so much more 'style' about them.

Personally I'd rather something soft and saloon for day to day and something more involving for when you want to enjoy driving.

This is exactly what the Flying Spur and GT are, they are daily every day cars.

My father has one as a company car for example for milling around London and for general day to day travelling around. They are just very powerful luxury cars for driving around as dailies, not for enjoying the thrill of driving. Anybody into cars would compliment a Flying Spur or GT with a sports car.

You could argue that Bentley already have an offroader after Top Gear took the W12 Continental on the rally stage :)
