As above really... Is your job title just something explaining what you do or is it a way of life? I don't mean in the sense of do you live to work or work to live, more does the thing you do pervade your every day life? There are some careers that appear to be more involved than others, for example most medical doctors are doctors 24/7, it doesn't just end when they leave the hospital.
For example, geologists, it's a job title but it's also "who most geologists are", they do it at work but it's also something they do out of work, when they're on a beach looking at the sand or cliff on holiday, when they're walking in hills and when you mention your profession at parties ("so how do you feel about fraccing" is climate change real" etc.). I'm guessing that's dlfairly common with most science jobs.
Just a random thought but to me there are some jobs that are "just" jobs but others that are passions I guess? What do you fall into?
