It's the vanity of some people that gets me. taking pictures of yourself in the mirror is vain, foolish and pathetic.
 
People have always been morons/weirdos/degrading adjective, it's just now there is a means to broadcast it to your eyes. Embrace it, as I do! It helps me deduce who is really worth actually being associated with and who to avoid - a pleb filter if you will.

I dont feel i need to broadcast contenet that only means anything to me and my partner just for my own emotional security.
 
The problem is that most people are self-absorbed cretins with a hilariously misguided belief that other people (who are also self-absorbed cretins) have any interest in their meaningless lives other than to quietly judge them for being self-absorbed cretins.

The internet in general and facebook in particular remind us on a daily basis that the majority of people are stupid, vain, vapid, vacuous toddlers with little self-control in how they portray themselves, how they talk to others, and how they interact with the world. We live in a world where selfies project your brand even if that brand is utterly awful and pointless.

Aye, one of our marketing dudes @ work showed me how they use FB to do targeted advertising. If you are seeing stuff on your FB page, it's aimed @ you for a reason, IE, gender, age, friends, location etc, etc...

Never knew just how tweakable those ads are, until I saw the options for myself.

Honestly, I had had enough with facebook late last year and decided to unfriend around 400 people, I had had Facebook for around 4-5 years then however I had just finished at a previous school so had no need to keep everyone on there so just got rid, now it's just full of ****** little "Likes" broadcasting stupid pictures, it gives me something to do when the forum is dead however I need to go through and clean it out.
