Lion car batteries

Anyone had any experience with lion car batteries. Need to get one for my car but can't decide between the cheaply lion at 46quid or a Bosch s4 at 65quid.

As long as it starts the car and works I'm not too fussed.

Same amp hour and cold crank rating? Same warranty?

An extra £19. Bosch it, wouldn't entertain anything else.

Lion is 680cca and 70ah (3year warranty)

Bosch is 680cca and 72ah (4year warranty)

The one I have now is 60ah and 590cca (one which came with the car from new) so both powerful enough just never heard of lion before.

Save some money on the Bosch and get the Varta, Bosch are just re badged Varta batteries.

Where are you getting varta batteries from? Need one for an st220.... Would they really be less than 65quid?

I get mine from Manchester Auto Electrical.

Thanks for that. I may just stick with the Bosch. It's. fiver less when you consider I have to pay post for the one you linked to and should be plenty enough.

I can only see me keeping the car for a year or so which Is why i was considering the cheap lion.

If your not keeping it long term just stick any battery in that's as good as the original. Varta do a range called Numax that are very good for a budget.

For our cars I buy the Varta Silver Dynamic with the highest CCA rating in the correct size, and for ordering online I've found Barden UK to be fine http://www.barden-ukshop.com.

a friend of mine bought a posh Bosch silver battery, that failed and he had to replace it under warranty after abuot 5-6 months.

I just bought a Lion for my car which i will be selling soon. It works fine and i saved a little.

Stuck one in my Fiesta, nice and cheap and did the job well enough. Buy it, it'll be fine.

I had a Lion in my old E36. It lasted 3years IIRC and was only £37.
