Don't worry about it, it took me 8 attempts to get from bronze 1 to silver 5

Kind of happy to be honest, i've gone from bronze 4 to gold V in around 45 games.
Well you can buy the 7 pack with RP or a single page with RP or IP but yeah they aint exactly cheap.
I'm a little tempted to pick up another page or 2 when I hit level 20 with some RP. I mostly play mid, support or jungle and I have a rune page set up for pure AP which is great in mid and the other is armour, scaling MR and magic pen for my support which does at least cross over reasonably well with the jungler. But I've had several games where I've been kinda forced into playing ADC (usually in blind pick) and it makes last hitting and going all-in that little bit harder even with only the T1 runes.
wait for them to come on sale again they do 2 for 1 and things randomly.
everytime i hit 6300 I buy a rune page as none of teh champs really take my fancy at the moment.
Zac is my next purchase tho and I have 12 rune pages which is enough for now lol.
It does allow you to create some strange trial pages.
Life steal AD page alongside your normal one. (you need both as not all adc's work well at the start with ls) and also jungle builds are pretty much ADC bulids for most champs so you can't try lifesteal quints on j4 for example.
I have a tanky movement speed page for when i'm feeling a bit aggressive as a support. critical strike pages for lols in aram.
and in season 2 movement speed on adc's was so broken. being able to make that extra shot. doesn't matter much this season though still nice to hit 500+ movement speed with blitz on his W like a perma ghost xD

If anyone is struggling against kassadin, pick pantheon, he destroys him.
I was in ranked last night, enemy first picked kassadin, i picked pantheon, needles to say i **** on him big time, he also didn't have any armor at all apart from his base armor, 3 spears and he would have to back, its good to pick a tear on panth as you will be spamming those spears and muaramana is good for it also, and get CDR boots, black cleaver + E shreds their armor completely. He's not usually the best pick, but in situations like this he is extremelly good.

Is there any other well known sites you can go to try and find folk about your same level to play alongside for duoq and the likes?
Had a great game as nami just now. Third ranked since i bought her and had losses the other times but when it went right, everything seemed to go right with bubbles landing etc and the bot lane cleaned up.
Had a ral string of losses recently. Went from promotion series 3 times in the same day to now fighting just to stay in Bronze 2 lol

Tell me about it, i dropped from silver -> gold promo to Silver 5 and can't get above 30 LP.
Still blame the time of year, kids go on holiday and the game goes crazy with trolls and afk's everywhere.
The problem with picks like that is yes, you will win the laning phase but your lategame is pretty dire because you most likely have a completely AD team unless you have something like Rumble or Elise top.
The only reason Kha'Zix gets away with playing an AD Mid is because he's broken (lol nerfs).

Thats what i was thinking, because i snowballed so hard we managed to finish the game in the mid game, so it wasn't a problem
This new yi is so good, went 20/3 last night as jungle.
I just went around the map one shotting people by the end of the game because the % AD bonus + true damage and his q critting is just ridiulous.
Anyone else been trying him?

Not yet but I don't usually play jungle/top. Has the Alpha Strike pattern "balanced" the move somewhat now that it targets closer units?

I find it easier to predict who you are going to hit now with Alpha strike. It is a little nerfed early game which will relegate yi to jungling only I think. Mana issues are still too much for laning yi. He still snowballs something silly though with alpha strike crits melting squishies and the CD reduction on basic attacks keeps him strong even without Highlander up. Ended up with two pentas in the 1 game I played last night after going 3/7 at one point, the last one being 1 vs 5. No real skill involved in either however - lack of enemy stuns/roots makes Yi unstoppable. He still dies horribly to most crowd control so likely will remain a pubstomper and not much more.
