gigabyte hd7970

same apart from the clocks,ghz=1000mhz core non ghz edition usually means slower 900mhz or round abouts

the voltage lock problem is not a really big concern to me since I am new to overclocking.

I would like a mild overclock for stability.

which is the best hd7970 for stable overclock, no voltage limit, or just wait ill the new 9000 series comes out ?

the good thing with being voltage unlocked is you can lower it for cooler temps, im stuck @ 1.25v with my wf3 7950 :(

A good 7950/70 should do 1100mhz with 1.25V

I got my hands in more than 20 79XX series cards that I could test...

All of them could reach 1100mhz with 1.25V or less, the best one was a Reference 7970 Sapphire that could do 1200mhz with 1.17V.
