It sounds very ambitious, maybe too much for SoE to actually pull off.

If they do though I can imagine this is something i would love to play.

Really? because of the art style? Really? I don't care how it looks to be honest (but for the record I really like the styling), it is trying to change MMO's.

Everything that sounds dynamic or random are set locations on a timer based on players in an area, just like every other MMO does it and completely not like they try to sell it.

Now, it's how good they can hide that and make an immersive experience instead of seeing it repeated over and over ruining the mystique. Certain amounts of belief suspension of course.

Well you can't have true AI yet, so little steps, the evolution of the GW2 questing style is the next best thing imo.

I cant run Planetside2 properly so no chance of running this as is....

Hope it works out.. I like the Minecraft aspect.

The AI wont work but it will be HILARIOUS...

look forward to it.. (if it has Ratonga)

a lot of negativity in here today, understandable though, we have all been burned by big hype MMO's.

Honestly, I only played a little of EQ (on the grand scheme of things) due to being addicted to UO. But I am very excited after this press conference. It looks very good. It does feel like 1999 though, the return of Richard Garriott in the game space, and now EQ is back. Let the fun begin!
