I see the spastic arsenal fans on reddit think they've got Suarez coz him Allen and assaidi aren't in squad pics on gettyimages

He's ****ing me off now Suarez is, I dread to think what Liverpool fans think, you lot are far too rational in here.

Most would have known half way through last season that it was more than possible that he'd want to leave this summer. It's not a huge surprise.

As yet he's not done a great deal wrong though. He come out with the whole media line to begin with and it's easy to understand why. By putting it on the media he could ask for a move without upsetting our fans. It's subsequently (although I'm not sure he's actually said it publicly) come out that he wants to leave because of CL football which most people already knew was the real reason. As above, it's not a surprise nor is it unreasonable of him to want to play in the CL.

He turned up for pre-season training as expected, trained and played - even if he did have a face like a smacked arse, he still played in the same way he always does. There's been no striking, suspect injuries or even a transfer request like many expected him to do and what a lot of other players have done in the past.

I still think it could have been handled differently from his side, I'm just getting sick of player power I think, wasn't it not long ago he signed a new deal or am I completely wrong?

He basically got a pay rise last summer - the length of the deal was no different. He supposedly initially signed on just £30k per week.

We all know contracts mean very little though. Clubs give out contracts to protect their asset but are happy to sell a player a year later if they don't want them anymore (Skrtel signed a new deal last summer too and we're looking to sell him). Equally players want the extra money of a new/improved deal but still may want to leave a year later.

I completely get the wanting to play in the CL thing, who wouldn't but the way Liverpool have stood by him more than a couple of times, I think he should show a bit more loyalty.

Liverpool seem to building a pretty decent squad now what with Coutinho being a revelation , I just think he should stick it out for another year and if Liverpool are still struggling, move on.

And trust me, I don't feel sorry for Liverpool at any time, you know me Baz, It's just rubbing me up the wrong way.

Like with contracts, loyalty is a two way thing. We bought Suarez knowing exactly what he's like, in fact his reputation made it possible for us to sign him. We can't complain too much when he acts up - that was the chance we took when signing him.

Had he turned out to be useless, we wouldn't have stood by him. Clubs are only loyal while they need the player. Had Joe Cole done what Suarez had, we'd have terminated his contract in a heart beat.

As for him giving us another year - if Arsenal are the best offer he's got then I'd certainly hope he stays another year. Arsenal aren't likely to offer him much more cash than we are giving him (if any more at all), despite being out of the CL we've got as much chance of winning it as Arsenal have and it's highly unlikely that Arsenal will make a genuine title challenge either.

If Suarez wants to play for a Real, Barca, Bayern type side then he's better staying at Liverpool for another year. If he moves to Arsenal he's not then going to move on again in a seasons time however next summer we'll be far more willing sellers as it'll be our last chance to demand a big fee for him.

Gareth Bale did not travel with Spurs today for the pre-season friendly in Monaco.

BBC confirming what his agent (allegedly) told AS.

And I still love him (Suarez not Purdy).

I should point out that another few months of Coutinho and his magical feet and I might end up like the Spurs fan going on about being a romantic and how good it is that he walks to training.

Trotting through North London to work is whole different ball ground to walking through Liverpool :D
