**XBOX ONE** Official Thread

What I don't get is why a company that listens to it's customers and actualy then works with them to improve stuff gets so many smart **** "lol 180" comments? Is it not a good thing (unless of course you're one of the "special" PS4 fangirls on NeoGAF... )

Weird...

Did they really have a choice not to listen to the customers?

anyhows the unboxing looked well sweet apart from the kinect looked huge and ugly

I wouldn't put it like that. They counted on Sony doing the same thing with used games and so just went with it. When they realised that consumers were still left with the choice of buying used games, they had to make themselves part of that choice. I said they were probably in talks about backing down a few days before they did. It's pretty simple the way I'm looking at it.

My thoughts exactly. After ordered one after the 1st announcement. Then cancelling the pre order after all the ms crap that hit the fan I'm still undecided.

Really like the 360, love the pad on the 360 of the sony pad. Just sell me the XBOne with no kinect please. Pretty please.

I suppose my point is they made their plans, didn't get it right first time but actually listened to gamers/customers and did something about it, right up to the headset which was hardly a cause of mass hysteria. Just seems worthy of a little credit as a company that values our custom rather than "lol hurrrr 180 hurrr..." /shrug

well I think that if Sony had done the same, and everyone moaned, then MS would not have backtracked. I think they backtracked for their own sake.

Let's not forgot that before they backtracked, one MS employee was making "deal with it" comments :p Which in the end, made the company look a bit foolish.

this is what i think too, they never did it for us. its really put me off them. i get like this in these situations, like when panasonic flatly refused to admit there was a fault with my viera, even when they agreed that the grey colours come out green on the tv, its within spec they kept saying. so im never buying a panny product again, i mean why should i when they lied and cheated me?

would like to add that i dont feel the same towards ms as i do to panny, and them 180ing its a good thing at the end of the day. still havent totally ruled the box out. will most likely buy one very very late, maybe after a price drop or 2. the only way i would buy one much sooner is if the servers turn out to be better than sonys.

They didn't listen to anyone apart from their accountants. They are still at it, and deserve all the negative press they're getting at the moment.

Treat your customers like mugs and you deserve to fail.

Coming back on topic any time soon or shall I give it a few days for the pointless bickering?

I'm looking forward to unboxing my own in a few months and am pretty happy they are now including the headset.

The power brick didn't help the 360 with its heat problems lol.
It's definitely a step backwards, I was surprised it comes with wifi this time round too.

Why are you even in this thread? You've made your dislike for MS and the Xbox One completely clear. How about staying out of the thread and letting the people who are interested in the console have some decent, adult conversation, instead of coming in and spouting anti-MS rubbish.

No it didn't, but it was a design flaw in the original model, which was sorted out in later releases.

And how is it a backwards step? It's a continuation of the current design of the 360, not like they've gone back to something they never previously used.

Interesting that they say '4k HDMI' but don't say 1.4 or 2.0. I wonder if the X1 will have HDMI 2.0, so as to support gaming style framerates over HDMI. Or it will be for movies only?
