Cheap 7990!

Wait and see what the 9xxx offers, if not rather buy a 780. The members who keep going on about the cost of running a PC, you'll be banging 50p coins in the meter like nobody's business, but at least you'll save on the heating bill's in the winter.:D

Oh god heating... left my pc mining coins and mt office was 37c this morning! !!!!

And thats with a window open.

Didnt realise my 7990 would dump so much heat when at 100% load

Very tempting at this price for such a card but the watt usage scares me. Think I might stick to single gpu cards for the time being until I can train the kids to generate electricity by riding a exercise bike hooked up to a pc

LOL, yup dump a lot of heat :) Have mine running 24/7 with all office windows open, fairly warm in that room even with door open. Will be nice during winter.

This is the price 7990 should have been from the start. Now we are so close to 99x0 I would not touch one of these even at that price.

I have to agree it's definitely too late.

To be honest if they done this right at the same time as the launch of the GTX780, at least it would offer somewhat of a competition...but being so late after the launch of GTX780...sorry, but AMD's timing is off. They had the opportunity, and they missed it.
