Hi. :)

What is the PC used for?

I've came up with a spec..

Though by your uipgrade time the new AMD GPU's will be out, and possible Ivy-E/Haswell-E.

YOUR BASKET
2 x Asus GeForce GTX 780 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £529.99 (£883.32)
1 x Iiyama Prolite G2773HS 120Hz 27" Widescreen LED 1MS Monitor - Black £329.99
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £275.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £158.99
1 x Samsung 250GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE250BW) £148.99
1 x Corsair Carbide 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case - Black £113.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler £103.99
2 x Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C9 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (CMY8GX3M2B2133C9) £89.99 (£179.98)
4 x Akasa AK-FN058 Apache Black Super Silent 120mm Fan - 4 Pin PWM £9.98 (£39.92)
Total : £2,434.75 (includes shipping : £19.10).

780SLI will demolish everything (even TITAN SLI) apparently.

Instead of a 1440p display i've done for 120Hz, just smoother and less demanding on GPU, so better FPS all round. :)

The memory is expensive but it will look amazing, the colour scheme is black and silver. :)

Thx for your input, looks a great build, its mainly for gaming (looking forward to x- rebirth) my problem is the last time i built/bought a system was almost 3 years ago and feel i have become detached from the tech.
I have a 1080p monitor atm albeit a 60hz so thought i would like the 1440p
Thanks again

To be fair you system still looks pretty good,

Have you got 2 x 580's?

If you want to read up on 120hz vs 1440p, theres a few good threads:

This comment caught my eye:

im running 2 120hz monitors and a 60hz monitor and you can clearly tell the difference, you will notice less eye strain, fluid movements and a higher frame rate. I also hope a 1440p is better than 1080p but for gaming 1440p is going to bog down his fps due to a better picture.
