can i play bf3 on my specs pc

some one tell me best ones to drop to medium please and whats AA?

Have a read through this below, I know its Nvidia but it's a good guide on the Video setting's & what they do + the affect they have on GPU perfomace !

http://www.geforce.co.uk/whats-new/guides/battlefield-3-tweak-guide#1

You TV is ether 1080p (1920x1080) or 720p (1280x720) ? you can find out by going into your setting & looking at the native res with the control panel.

Ether way use the guide & download fraps to see what frames per second you are getting, then you can change the settings in BF3 & see what affect it will have on your Frames...

Wonder if people are comparing different maps/players.

Run low settings except mesh with my old setup and I can notice the difference in bigger maps. In particular tanks doing 180's for no apparent reason.

32 player smaller maps and its very smooth.

hi guys thanks for reply yes it is phenom II 6 core @ 3.3ghz turbo and can go to 3.4ghz stable
ive also over clocked gpu slightly increased the gpu clock from 850 - 900mhz and memory clock from 4800 - 4900mhz

kinda getting mixed message's now should i run low -medium or medium- high , i am using a 22" wharfedale hd tv as monitor through vga and dvi on graphics card

hope this helps

how's this- turn everything up and if it doesn't work start turning stuff down until it does :D

I would set to low and set Mesh quality which is draw distance to the highest setting possible, allows you to see people and vehicles at a long distance use fraps in game to test this. or use this program Desktop http://bf3.realmware.co.uk/settings-editor/downloads to change settings including adding FPS in the top right corner off screen

I used to play it on my second rig with an i7 930 and an 8800gt, low settings and it was perfectly playable. Since upgraded the gpu to a gtx 650 ti boost 2gb. All on high and it can manage 50fps+ at 1680x1050. Bf3 still looks very nice even on lower settings, i can run it on full ultra at 1920x1200, x4 msaa on the spec in sig, but it can actually look a bit cluttered as theres so much going on.
