Steam Cards?

Sold a couple of foils and duplicates to buy the ones i needed to finish some badges....

they are totally worthless and id never spend real money on them but i will trade the cards via the marketplace as most of my freinds havent got spares I need.

I got a couple of 90% off bonuses for finishing badges but wasnt intrested in the games so i gave them away to freinds who were.

I'm i the only one who dosn't give a crap about these trading cards or what ever they are?

Nope. They are fairly pointless. If you really wanted to buy the background pics or emotes you get as rewards, you could just buy those for waaay less than you'd spend on the cards.

And unless you use your steam profile or the discussion boards a lot, the rewards are meaningless. Even if you do, they dont add much.

I have logged into every game on steam which has the cards in order to collect everyone I can.

I sold them and made around £25 which netted me 5-6 free indie games :)

Bit of a strange thing to say when every thread about these cards you get 90% of people proudly claiming that they sell them immediately.

For some they are a bit of fun and also the higher your level the more chance you have of getting a booster pack. Which is a pack of 3 cards, with a chance to get a foil. I'm only level 24, but I have had 3 booster packs now, with one foil card which I got £1.20 for.

I dont want to be level 24 or level 50. I couldn't care a less. These trading cards are useless to me. All i use Steam for, is to load my games up, and thats it. I don't care if there is a promotion, trading cards or what ever it is that is the next big thing.

I just dont care.

The artwork on some of them is nice to see, there's usually loads of this stuff from game development that we never get to see. nice for the designers to get a chance to show some of it off at least. Although, strangely you do 'lose' the cards when you craft them for a 'badge' of dubious honour.
